The word we are getting is that the big change that Dixie Carter is tweeting on her Twitter account is not something related to Slammiversary but something that is much bigger for the company as a whole.

There has been a lot of talk that the company has reached out to people to enhance and/or overhaul the creative end of the company and we can confirm that the two most prominent names discussed internally are Kevin Sullivan and Paul Heyman.

As we have mentioned previously on the site, Heyman has been on the TNA radar for a while now. The story we have gotten is that for Heyman to come in, he would need complete control of the creatiove process (or at least as much as a booker can have in 2010). We can also confirm that they have spoken with Sullivan as well.

We will have more on this story as soon as we can confirm it.

Les Thatcher noted on his Wrestling Weekly audio show that he is under the impression that Tommy Dreamer will be showing up at tonight's TNA Slammiversary pay-per-view in some form or fashion but has not signed a contract with them yet. An appearance by Dreamer isn't considered to be part of the big changes that Dixie Carter has been teasing.

- TNA President Dixie Carter posted some messages on Twitter on Sunday morning clarifying that the “nice surprise” she promised for tonight’s Slammiversary pay-per-view is NOT part of the “major changes” that she says will change TNA . Regarding when we’ll know what the major changes are, Carter wrote, “You will just see for yourselves in the coming weeks.”

- As part of TNA’s Slammiversary weekend, the company held an 8th anniversary party in Orlando on Saturday night at the Universal Orlando’s Citywalk NASCAR restaurant. Many of TNA’s top stars were in attendance and both Jeff Jarrett and Dixie Carter addressed the crowd and shared their thoughts on the past, present and future of TNA. Dixie Carter shot down some rumors about the “major changes” coming to TNA – stating that TNA has not been sold and the changes do not involve a new television deal.

PWTorch has confirmed with TNA sources that former WWE and ECW wrestler Tommy Dreamer is the "nice surprise" for tonight's TNA Slammiversary [COLOR=blue ! important][COLOR=blue ! important]PPV[/COLOR][/COLOR].

Dreamer is not scheduled for a match tonight, but is scheduled to make his TNA debut as part of an angle on tonight's PPV.

Maybe she's changing the name or they're taking Impact on tour.

And if she is, it would be a step in the right direction, though the latter would be dumb business-wise.

But my guess is that it's something insanely stupid, like a circular ring with no turnbuckles.

It has to be something format related, as Xero suggested. I would love them to sign Paul Heyman, and I actually think giving him full creative control is the best thing TNA can do for themselves right now -- but you don't publically announce that Paul Heyman is the new head writer for TNA, you know? It's a behind the scenes change. Although Dixie seems to get herself wet and talks about every aspect of the business.

To be honest, I'm thinking Spike TV will give them a second show so they can pace themselves a bit better.
