Though they came out a few years BEFORE the Outlaws. I would consider them them the forerunner to Edge and Christian, much like I considered Barry Windham's run as "The Lone Wolf" the forerunner to Triple H's "Game" persona.
The story behind the Blondes is a good one. Windham, who was Brian Pillman's partner at the time, missed a flight or something, and they had Austin take his place. They ended up working well together and, since WCW didn't have much else to do with either guy (Pillman was floundering as a heel at this point, and I want to say that Austin just got off his long assed TV Title run.), so they stayed together. They inexplicably got over as heels. |

![]() They threw in Rob Parker, turned Pillman face and Austin got a US Title Reign. He almost got a World title reign before Bad Timing came into play (won't say the name, but his initials were Hulk Hogan). |
