Talk of repetition in this game (or any game) always seemed odd to me. Did people not expect to shoot robots all day?

For me it was more to do with environments in the game being repetitive rather then the gameplay as such. I don't think the game is bad because of it and really I think because of the setting it was hard to avoid but it did seem like the bulk was just running along and through really dark and grey looking areas. Like I said the setting being Cybertron it was probably hard to avoid because you probably couldn't just throw in a forest or underwater level just for the sake of it.

Perhaps in the (most likely Earth-bound) sequel we'll play as water- and animal-based TFs that could play in just those areas.
