Wrestling is best left in the hands of people who try to tell a story with their physical being. Including dangerous yet unrealistic weapons into a match for the "ohhhh" effect is lame way of taking the easy way out.

How could the tubes beat a properly built up stand off between two guys who hate each other? Are they going to take the time to bring wrapped up light tubes to a match, or would they just beat the shit of of the other guy with their fists like a normal person?

There's no reason that two guys who are just out there booked in a match would want to bring their opponent to within an inch of their life, thats just not realistic with 99% of wrestling characters. There's room for weapons, blood, etc in matches, but there needs to be a rhyme or reason behind why some guy is pummeling his opponent with a baseball bat. I have no problem with a guy blading, or even the once-in-a-blue-moon type nasty spots, but it needs to make sense in the story.

Plus, some of the more extreme shit with light tubes, thumb tacks, etc is just unnecessarily dangerous. You can get your point across without involving things that can fuck someone up so easily.

Pretty sure these are spot on. Fuck you Brock for pushing CZW around here like 1000 people before you have. It's all been said before. It's not wrestling, and people like you just don't get it.
