NPD leaves out certain major retailers (I believe Wal-Mart is one) and VGChartz periodically pulls figures out of its ass. It's probably 6:1, half dozen to the other, but still.
True, if you compare games that are close there, it's pretty stupid, but you can usually tell if a game has bombed or been a massive success.

When's NPD stopping releasing sales numbers? I think that's pretty soon.
