And I have every reason the same thing would happen. GSP wrestling is too good, even if BJ does have ridiculous takedown defense.

I don't think he's done anything to warrant another shot at GSP. He walked over Hughes, but one big victory isn't enough. He needs to show consistancy at 170 before he's even sniffing a title shot.

And it's not like George can't strike. The only reason BJ outstruck him the first time out was cuz he poked him in the eye. And BJ isn't all that special off of his back.

LOL, Silva would get put on his back, GSP is a better wrestler, more athletic, and has WAYYYYY better BJJ than Sonnen. I like Silva, but he would just get beaten up for 5 rounds.

GSP is still a better grappler and athlete, and has much more explosive takedowns and striking than Sonnen, he also closes distance much better. GSP also has very good range for his size. It doesn't matter if Sonnen is bigger really, Silva did nothing to stuff the takedown, or much of anything to get to his feet, and if he did, he was taken back down immediatly.

Silva's fought at light heavyweight and cuts down from 210 to fight at 185 whereas GSP would have to gain weight to be competitive with Silva.

Dan Henderson was the better wrestler when he fought Silva too and ended up getting choked the fuck out.

GSP is better off staying at 170. On paper Silva v. GSP seems like a great match, but in reality I don't see it turning out well for GSP.

The only advantage GSP may have is his youth.

As far as Sonnen goes, I think the testosterone shots helped his performance a lot.

Dan Henderson was a good Greco-Roman wrestler, but his MMA wrestling his not even really good, he got dominated on the ground by Jake Shields.

The sad thing here is I don't even think IC and myself are fanboys or nuthuggers of GSP... I don't know what you're trying to hold onto here Krispy.

The "GSP can't knock people, out at 170" doesn't mean shit. He's been consistantly facing top competition, knockouts are hard to come by. And he STOPPED BJ Penn no matter what bullshit you choose to spew. I don't think Georges himself thinks it's a stoppage, but when you don't answer the bell you're stopped. And Penn was hurt badly... very badly. He got ground and pounded to shit. Pull your head from your ass.

note, gsp is one of my fave fighters but I don't hug his nuts going into his fights, the only time I've been 100 per cent confident going into a gsp fight was dan hardy. Every other one of his fights I am never sure and never make predictions.

As far as him fighting Silva goes...Silve showed that he can be put on his back and held there, and there's no predicting how much size plays a factor and I would personally call it a pick'm.

Also factor in the wrestling with the fact that GSP can strike better than any wrestler, you have someone that can keep silva off balance.

And now are acting like GSP fan boys by saying he would beat the most dominant striker in the UFC..

I don't think GSP is unstoppable, I just think his wrestling is so dominant and Silva could nothing from being put on his back. GSP is the greatest MMA fighter ever, there is no shame in losing to him.

What makes you think Silva will stop GSP from taking him down, Silva has only faced one dominate wrestler in his UFC career, and he was taken down and beaten up for 23 minutes and could have easily lost that fight, if Sonnen just ran away like Silva likes to do.
