To be honest, just cause a guy prefers a certain style of wrestlingcommentating, doesn't mean he's trying to take shot at current commentators.

Of course he is implicitly saying that none of the people currently on, are as good as the ones he mention, but I doubt he meant it that way...

He's just stating his opinion?

Commentators today are like wrestlers, they dont have the opportunities guys like JR had to move between promotions/regions and learn different styles and evolve, with the exception of Striker they all come across as pretty interchangeable, even Cole before his heelish turn.

Long as you ignore the bit about the EPSN sportscaster deal...Yeah.

JR is a huge queen and spent a lot of time shitting over his announce partners (except King) over the last few years of his career. Honestly, I'd be shocked if this wasn't a direct shot, given his past.

But I mean, if people really want to justify him, more power to them.
