I doubt he'll ever be a heel like he was anymore. If the Attitude Era was still going today, then maybe he might be a heel, who opposes it all.

You don't need the Attitude Era. Technically, HBK could do a CM Punk SES thing, trying to "save" everyone and convert them to wholesome christian beliefs. Meanwhile, people who oppose him call him a hypocrite citing all of his "past sins" like screwing bret, ruling the locker room with the clique, and everything else that people give him shit for on this forum.

It could be pretty interesting, actually. But I agree that the religious thing has run its course. I miss the 95-96 Face HBK and the 97/98 (or, hell, even the early 90s) heel HBK. The version that prays before every match and wears crosses everywhere just doesn't do anything for me.
