Chavo in ROH would be pretty amazing, I'd have to say. I'd love to see him either aligned with Mike Bennett and Brutal Bob, or alongside Steve Corino and Jimmy Jacobs as "evil men trying to reform."

I honestly think it's just a case of the Carlito-type stuff. You're on the road for years, taking bumps going out there and giving 100% (and yes, I still feel that laziness was only the effect of the cause of Carlito's problems), and you understand the business, and know that you might never be a top guy (although Carly had a better chance than Chavo, and a loss of his "future star" status might have frustrated him more than never having been given that), but you sort of want to feel that you are doing *something.*

Being an opening act is not a bad thing, but when you get sore and tired and aren't content but don't see change, you just want that change of scenery. The paychecks won't be the same, but it's not about that. Until you start missing the money.

Same thing probably happened with MVP, too.

I really don't think ROH would benifit from Chavo, nobody will turn their TV on and see Chavo and be like "OH SHIT HE'S HERE NOW WTF!"

Chavo didn't do interviews bashing Triple H, so it isn't quite like Carlito's situation. Carlito was his own worst enemy.

It wouldn't be that kind of benefit. But I honestly believe Chavo could be an asset to the company. Not only with his years of experience, but he'd just be a different character to many they have. Veterans who have appeared in big promotions in the past are there, but Chavo could really find his own niche as a guy that has come to Ring of Honor because it hears it has the best wrestlers in the world. He's done with big paychecks and he wants to come in and prove that he's worthy of the Guerrero name, and win a real World Championship.

Something like that could be pretty compelling. Especially if they don't put Chavo over as some god in wrestling, but as a guy who never lived up to the highest example of his family. Chavo comes in, works some brilliant matches, starts at the bottom and works his way up. It could create a "Holy shit, is this guy actually going to do it?" vibe. Plus, lying, cheating and stealing could get over so well in ROH.

I do see the compelling nature of your idea, but I really feel like people would change the channel if Chavo Guerrero was a World Title Contender...

A guy who was a low card jobber for his entire career with a few mid card runs as exceptions does not make me thing "Best in the World".

To me if you put Chavo in an ROH title feud that would drastically cheapen the belt and all they have worked for it to be.

No WWE guy should EVER come in and win the title without a good long story behind. Even then, I don't want it to happen. ROH's World Title is special again, and I really do think Davey Richards will bring "The Best in the World" out of ROH.

WWE's 90-day no compete clause only applies to working for promotions and independent bookings that have syndicated television or pay-per-view programming. They can accept and work independent bookings for wrestling promotions and shows so long as the event is not televised and that does not pertain to internet broadcasting say over podcast or the promotions website. So basically you could say no ROH or TNA appearances being those are the only two companies with major syndication in multiple demographic areas.

I have to agree with this. At best, Chavo could be TV Champ. I mean, yeah, Jamie Noble held the title, and that's pretty much the low point in my opinion. I know Chavo is recognized, but hell, so are a lot of people on the current roster.

I could see Chavo coming in to do a special double shot, and if it goes well, bring him back. But I don't see him fitting into the framework right now.

Although Kevin Steen could kill him...

If he wanted to make money then he'd go to Mexico. But even there, is he a draw at all? I just don't think he's a main event level talent. The only time I didn't think that was when he was the bandanna wearing ECW Champ, I actually thought he started a character there that could draw, but WWE swept it away too quickly to know what could have happened.

It would be sad for him to leaving jobbing in WWE and go to ROH and job there.

Steen killing him in his debut with one of the new ROH guys could be cool.

But ROH has Rhino now so why would they need Chavo? They don't need another former WWE guy.

There's quite a few promotions I would like to see Chavo in...

U.S. - ROH, IWA Mid-South
Japan - NJPW
Mexico - AAA

These promotions gave Eddie a chance years ago, so why not Chavo? Plus, I think Chavo would make a great Black Tiger (as Eddie did many years ago).
