I liked how the 2nd time the Marlins won the title in 2003, the new owner promised he wouldn't pull a 1997 and keep the team together.

He ended up gutting the team to keep payroll as low as possible.

...that's what I don't understand. They build winning teams, and then break them up...then build winning teams, and break them up...

...it's like they WANT to lose.
