Plenty of reasons, the first one being that they used the fact that Punks contract was running out (and that it was common knowledge to a lot of fans) to build suspense to the point where nobody was sure what was going to happen if he won the title at MitB. That was the main aspect of the story that made the entire thing so exciting to watch and built up all the anticipation for each episode to see how it would turn out.
Could go on with more reasons but I think that one will suffice. |

Good point, however, have the ratings shown a significant change since this has happened? If they have, then he was the right man for the job, if they haven't maybe he isn't capable of being "that guy." With NOC being 6 days away and this being the last Raw, I think the ratings for this show are very important, and will tell the real story. |
