Only thing that concerns me about Buffalo is outside of Gaustad, they suck ass big time on face offs.

He has done a handful over the last 2 years, but was not very well received. He is not his old man.

So he was dropped this year, and Rick and Harry (with Rob Ray ice level )will do all home and playoff games, and around 15 away games in close cities.

Other than that it will be Kevin Sylvester, Danny Gare AND Rob Ray in the booth, which I am excited for. Razor is a good Color man.

And Mike robitaille will be in studio for all games.

I love the sabres Pre Game, Post game, and announce teams.

Yeah. He was calling games for Portland last year, who were the Sabres AHL team.

SO like he was right there under his dad.

I know it probably opened doors for him, but I think he should have tried to nab a job elsewhere and work it on his own.

Crosby has been given the go-ahead to skate "without contact".

I think whenever he returns we will see an unprecendented level of protection for one guy...to the point where players will go out of their way to not hit him high.

As a Pens fan I kinda hope he doesn't come back till around Christmas. Get 100% and come back and be the beast he was the 1st half of last year. 70% Crosby isn't gonna help the team or him get better imo.

Oh yeah, Tavares signed an extension with the Isles through the 2017-18 season. Add that to Okposo and Grabner getting lengthy extensions and I'm pretty excited. Getting a low seed in the playoffs this year is certainly possible, but that's about it. Should be fun at least.

Not with that defense. Eaton and Mottau especially should not be taking regular shifts in the NHL. Hamonic and MacDonald are solid and Streit may be good depending on his recovery, but the Isles are awfully shallow on D. Also, like it or not, DiPietro is your starting goaltender.

The Isles are doing the same thing as the Oilers: drafting forwards with their high picks. Defense wins championships, and you're just going to run into cap issues throwing money at the same thing.

Yeah, I'll be the first to admit that I don't know a whole lot about incoming prospects, that's true of basically any league for me except the NFL...but if the Isles don't take a defenseman with their top pick next year I'll be pretty pissed off.

Love NHL tv, but I have comcast and the listings are always wrong. Like right now it says Montreal vs penguibs 2010 ECF game seven. But its actually Canucks vs Bruins 2011 Finals game 5.

I don't mind either, but it's a tad annoying.

You wouldn't anyway it'd be on NBC so you wouldn't get him doing the cup finals play by play anyway. Radio maybe though?

Uhh Eaton is a very solid lower pairing guy. He was a cog on the Pens cup winning squad, he's overused on the island for sure but he's hardly unworthy of being in the NHL.

They simulcast Ricks feed on local radio as well as MSG. So yeah, Radio in that case. I always listen to him over the TV feed when they play on Versus

I doubt they'd run an MSG feed of the cup finals though. Pretty sure NBC has exclusive rights to that, could be wrong. You'd probably have to turn the sound off TV and listen to the radio and as a warning they are not in sync

Realignment talk is interesting. Apparently there's a 4 conference movement. Also the going thought is to move Detroit to the East. I rather see the Wings stay in the same conference as the Hawks. Take the Predators

Right. I think I worded it wrong. All Games are on Local AM radio. Even games on MSG. WHen on Versus I listen to Rick on the Radio, as I would do if they made the Cup.

I got a ticket for 2 free preseason tickets to a game in Nashville at the Titans game, too bad I figured I couldnt use them and lost the ticket...

SMASHVILLE! lol didnt realize they liked their hockey so much in Tennessee.

Also, with the whole realignment thing I dont understand why they dont move Winnipeg to the Northwest, Vancouver to the Pacific, Dallas to the Central and still put Nashville in the Southeast. All the talk about going to 4 conferences doesnt make much sense to me when all they have to do is move around 4 teams and actually come out with a decent alignment and not have to change anything else..

Yeah, I'm not sure what the heck the Avs are doing. The Shattenkirk/Stewart for McClement/Johnson trade was horrible and I'm not a Varlemov fan at all and they dealt a 1st and 2nd. Yikes.

The reason being some teams like Detroit and Columbus want to be in the east so they play more games in their own timezone. As it is now they play ALOT out west and their games dont start on weeknights until 9 or 10 local time. Its less the NHL wants to over complicate it, but more about pressure from teams on their standing.
