Shawn was protecting his company. Bret had nothing to lose and everything to gain.....yet WCW managed to screw that up, well half of the reason, the other half being Bret's not a big a star as people think.

It ws a special set of circumstances. So, by usual standards of "doing business" he was in the wrong/being unprofessional.

Take into consideration that he was being asked to leave the company and he had to drop to a guy that was notorious for "not doing business" and it's not as black and white.

Factor in same guy explicitly said he'd never drop it for Bret if the situation was reversed and furthermore add in that Vince McMahon gave Bret Hart creative control over how he left the company.

Bret didn't do business and refused to do what his boss told him to, thought he was god in Canada and it would shatter the little hearts of every kid in the hallways who ever screamed BREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET.

HBK was a whiny little bitch, coked up, pilled up, and had the worst mullet ever. If he wasn't a primadonna, maybe Bret would have done business right.

The only person who did what they were supposed to was Hebner.

CM Punk was getting his picture taken with Stone Cold.

Not exactly true, Taker was apparently taping his fists/threatening Michaels to make sure HBK did go through with it given his rep and umming and ahhing at the time

Angle seems a bit of a sulky prick, that Daniel Puder thing comes to mind.

Also, no JBL mention, wtf.

Yes it is. The WWF was losing a ton of money. Bret just walking into the ring after beating their top star and just handing the belt over would have killed the company. Stop making excuses for this over-rated bitch.

Completely irrelevant. How many jobs can you think of where you don't have to do what the job requires because you don't like the guy you have to work with?

Straight from the "two wrongs make a right" box.

Now playing the "what if?" game. Nice.

Was not the phrasing "reasonable creative control?"

This pretty much sums up Bret Hart for me: "Hi kids, I'm Bret Hart, your Canadian hero, and I just want you to remember, when something doesn't go your way, you should hit someone in the face. Oh and destroy thousands of dollars of their property too."

Making a thread filled with rumors and absolutely no solid, substantial fact (that can be verified through direct witness).

Yay gossip.
