Even if he slips this mortal coil, he can still come back as a ghost (at least, until the brothers salt and burn his body), or show up in Heaven, If Cas comes back he could bring Bobby back. Or in a dream (Dying certainly didn't stop Rufus coming back. Or Ellen. Or Mary. Or John. Or Jo).

And why assume he's going to Heaven? If he's Hellbound, Crowley could bring him back, alive and healed, with a snap of his fingers. Though I'm sure it would mean Bobby would end up owing Crowley.
