Let me try to decipher this sweet angle.

- Cena and Steph start getting a little "too close", so HHH gets angry. Being the mastermind he is, he keeps it to himself and dupes HBK into blowing up John Cena.
- Inwardly he is laughing maniacally, outwardly he is eating a PB&J.
- He meets Brock Lesnar and shakes his hand, pretending that he will be the new face of the WWE... but then he takes a flamethrower to Brock, incinerating him.
- HHH uses this to announce his full time return to wrestling, where he quickly becomes WWE champion.
- And so, his evil plan is complete.

You forgot the part where Triple H has Shawn Michaels blow up Cena and Stephanie only for Vince to reveal his plan to screw his children out of their cut of WWE ownership after they turned on him during the inVasion angle.
