Overall a fun PPV. The World Heavyweight Title MITB was just outstanding. So happy to see Ziggler win, he's ready for the big time and I hope that he ends up getting a lengthy run with the World Heavyweight Title once he cashes in.
Sheamus and Del Rio was a decent match. Nothing overly special but Sheamus continues to look strong. I knew Ziggler wasn't going to win the belt right away when he came out so I nearly had a heart attack at the Brogue Kick. Was glad the bell never rang. Bryan and Punk was excellent as per usual. The ending was kinda meh though. After all the hype about AJ as ref, to actually see her just plainly call it down the middle was a bit of a letdown. The storyline isn't over yet though so we'll see where it goes. The WWE Title one was a bit more dry, but it was never gonna be a standard, huge spot-filled MITB either with the guys involved. Show and Kane are too big to take a massive spot and they were never gonna risk it with Cena. Cena winning was pretty obvious from the minute he announced himself as a participant, because it's pretty much the only accolade he hasn't done yet. But seeing Cena of all people with the briefcase should be interesting. Could see him being the first one to lose his cash-in simply because he's one of the few guys who could do that without losing any steam. |
