They won't ever do that again. There would be too much backlash (there was a lot last year) and last year's BCS Title Game was one of the lowest rated BCS games in years.

If Alabama loses, I think k state moves to #1 and they slide to #2 and lsu closes the gap bewtween them and nd/Oregon. Puts too much stock in at least one of k-state, nd and Oregon going unbeaten and I think 1 loss lsu could possibly leapfrog unbeaten nd since they don't have a conf champ game.

May all be moot here since alabama has the ball though.
