Well... it is a used copy. But I see what you're getting at. A free play weekend with major map pack launches would bring a lot of converts maybe.

Just to clarify Amored Kill is out today for PS3 players only. PC and XBox 360 come out on the 11th, and then non premium comes out on the 18th for PS3 and the 25th for PC and Xbox 360

While I like the introduction of new vehicles, it seems a bit weird (on console at least) that they add Tank Destroyers but don't seem to get the chance to use them against actual MBT's outside of Tank Superiority.

Still can't really make my mind up what I think of the new maps though.

I play this on PC. No point in playing this on consoles really. Couldn't see it being that fun.

Yah, not my type of game there. I can't stand in one place for longer than a few seconds. I've put in 5 billion hours into Bad Company 2 rush, but haven't had much fun BF3 so far :/ Even the Rush mode feels more like conquest.

I seriously have no idea what the hell they expect people to do when defending is very important, just catch a point a run along.

I'm the sort of guy, and some of you can vouch for this, who will stay the fuck in one place for the entire game waiting for someone to get into my zone. Defense means just that to me.

Sometimes I play heavy defense, and sometimes I just go from control point to control point. All depends on how the battle is progressing, really.

Also, I'm really sick of playing in mute squads, so if anyone wants to play with a mic, and actually communicate, hit me up.

Not really. Lower player limits means no 'massive' battles. Many maps, especially in the armored kill expansion, are geared toward large player counts. Most any vehicle map benefits from large player counts. Except the maps are smaller than the PC versions precisely to keep the action constant. The vehicle controllers can obviously be mastered as you will get wasted by somebody who accomplished the 'impossible'. And the graphics are just fine.

How long have you played the console versions?

I can't fly a helicopter for shit on 360, but jets seem fine. Never managed to actually achieve anything with a jet though, just seem to fly around aimlessly failing to hit anything with the guns.

Jets take some getting used to, but it can get frustrating/boring until you get the tools that really shape your piloting style (air-to-air or air-to-ground).

Choppers are much more deadly and fun.

which goes along the lines of certain game mechanics make this game the most fun, and console is lacking in how those mechanics are utilized. IMO obviously.

edit: and also, CoD is a much better 'console' game and would make more sense to play if you're looking for a shooter on console. Likewise, BF3 over CoD on PC.

That is former TPWW poster DS and myself. Haven't played in a while though. Armored Kill was kind of a disappointing expansion tbh and after we played it for a while we kinda got bored while other games came out.

Yeah, I'm returning off a couple of months if not half a year at least off. Don't remember how long. Possibly 9 months iirc.

I can't fathom out buying so many add-ons. It just thin-ens out the game. Servers are ok for the decent maps, but if you ever fancy variety, it can get quite tricky for me as I play hardcore (prefer it if you shoot someone and they actually die, rather than run round a corner whilst I've had to switch to my pistol cos I emptied a clip into you).
