Smackdown is definitely a B show, but it allows talent that would not normallt get top billing a chance to be at the top of the show. On Raw, for instance, Del Rio would never get a face World Championship run - it's too risky to do that at the top of the flagship show. I can see why some people would say to get rid of SD (and I for one do not watch a whole lot of SD anymore, I'm much more a casual fan who tunes in from December to April - Mania season), but I appreciate it for what it is and realize that the spot it holds to let talent develop in the WWE is very important.
I really didn't like Del Rio as a heel, but he is totally growing on me and I find myself rooting for him as a face. You pose a good argument.
