Think I would side with Gertner on this one. Not a lot more could be done with him at this stage and he has obviously been around a long time.
Hated Stardust tbh. Thought it was just him jumping around and trying to be wacky. It lacked all the things that made GoldUst great at his peak. Goldust could be intimidating, unpredictable, wacky and crazy, even downright scary. He was a serious threat and was played perfectly. He had the amazing entrance and this great mystique and presence. It was a unique character, and at the time, it pushed the envelope and was allowed to be edgy and controversial. Stardust is a weaker all round character in just about every way, being played in an era where there was never going to be any edge to the character. It was a poor imitation. In saying that, I think Cody has it in him to reinvent himself and come back as a bigger player. If the likes of Luke Gallows can do it, then Rhodes definitely can. |
