I feel like you should STFU and let me dream that there is some semblance of common sense somewhere in the company.

Yeah, they'll likely prove me wrong, and go into this "Who is the benefactor?" crap that eats up airtime that could otherwise be used to try to build a sandcastle out of this mud... but maybe they'll have more sense than that for once. Maybe.
