There’s definitely “murky water” around some of these circumstances, and the “power dynamic” in relationships can lead to some questions being asked, as it is in a lot of these cases. Being in a relationship doesn’t mean you can just do wtf you like, some people end up in violent/abusive relationships for years before they conjure the courage to leave, or kill their partner, or often end up dead themselves before they get there.
