I don't see any of those profits. All I got to see was a slow, steady, shitty, insane decline in quality until I couldn't take it anymore and had to get out in order maintain my mental health.

Was just being nitpicky and a bit of an a-hole..... had he said he would have changed it so they never went public I would have been fine because that is the hypothetical "it just happens" kind of change....... but he said he would go back and talk Vince out of it which got me away from thinking hypothetical and into what possible argument he could make....

I’ve often thought that going public was one of the most negative things for them creatively. You become beholden to stakeholders. But the truth is that was probably always going to happen as long as you want to prop yourself up and be a global entity at all.

If they hadn’t of gone public, who knows if the company would even still be around?

You could make similar arguments about the WWF going national or the advent of cable television exposing so much. They were inevitable things that changed the game.
