I think if they'd scored another run or two they would have let him keep pitching, but since they didn't they had him go out to get his props from the fans.

Another talk is Pedro comes back game #5 which Pedro normally sucks on 3days rest.
Also talk that if Schill can pitch, he might go game #3, which would allow him to pitch again game #6 or #7.

My guess... Schills done.

Arroyo, Wake and Lowe and then if neccesary you get Pedro in the 6th in NY and Arroyo in the 7th in NY or possible Schill if he can go.

Dunno.. in 1986, the sox took 1 and 2 in NY(mets) and dropped 3/4 at home, won 5 at home and lost 6 and 7 in NY.

I've heard the clip a few times today a lot of reporters think it's a response he may have already had before the game, because he knew the question would be there after the game.

Schill ain't pitching on Friday, that's out of the question. If he goes Friday, you're really really taking a huge risk. He could come back for game 5, but with the reports I've been hearing, it's very very doubtful. The docotr/trainer for the Sox said that if this was the middle of the season, Schilling would be wearing a cast right now.

You have to go Arroyo and Wake in 3 and 4. Then Pedro game 5 if Schilling is finished. You could throw Lowe and save Pedro for the NY, but game 5 might be do or die.

I dunno... (listening to curt on the radio now). There still saying it's the same injury he had all year, the only difference is the brace didn't work, so if they can get a new brace to work and can make his normal push off.

He's saying as long as they get sometype of brace that does what it did all year, he'll be good to pitch.

But, they were also talking about him pitching 6 or 7, so I'm not sure if they've already decided he's out for game #5.

If Fridays game isn't rained out, I doubt you'll see PEdro game #5, you'll see Lowe, Pedro can't go on 3days rest.

ok... couple of things... I missed the 1st half of curt.

Aperently the injury is worse then it was, he says he Tore the sheeth against the yanks the last game of the season, but was still ok to pitch against the Angels, so he figured he'd still be fine vs. NYY.

But, he said it did bother him warming up, but it did the last time and was fine.

Also, Lucchino had said Curt hurt it on the steps before the NYY game and Curt said he didn't, but he did have "problems" w/ the ankle, but same was before.

He stills sounds like he plans to pitch if he can get the mechanics back.

yep, he left the door open for a possible 6 or 7.

Also, if there is a rain out tomorrow, I'd expect Pedro to pitch 5.

I dunno, Lowe has had a bad year, but I kinda like him pitching in NY more then I do Lowe at home... dunno why... he seems to do better on the road... plus you'd have arroyo on 3 days and wake on 2days if needed out of the pen.

many options... but they gotta win #3... thats the key... I'd like to see 3 and 4... then it's a best of 3.
