That is another good point. I laugh when ever I see Orton against like Batista or HHH or even Beniot. Orton is such a string bean compaired to them all, it doesn't look like he has a chance.

By build alone here are the people in WWE that Orton should beat:
Maven
Spike Dudley
Coach
Billy Kidman
Paul London
and lets say Nuzio (only because he has been booked so weak, if it was Little Guido, it would be different).

Everyone else either looks as tough if not tougher than Orton, or has enough of that edge to make them seem more dangerous in some way. Orton doesn't have an edge. Oh, he had a cocky edge when he was a heel, but he never had that dangerous edge that made it seem like he could go crazy and clean house by his lonesome.

I know what you mean, and he does stuff up a bit, but he does have that handicap the WWE has put on pretty much anybody from OVW.

He can put emotions into his promos, but he does slur occasionally. I don't think he's horrible, but he could use a little work.

This thread is so one sided by some of the anti-Orton marks, it's not even funny. Orton had one of the longest IC Title Reigns in WWF(E) history. You better believe Orton was taken as a threat to the World Title. People were cheering for Orton because he was one dominant mother fucker for a while.

If you don't think Orton can wrestle by this point, then forget it. I'm done preaching that.

His promos are on and off. He was cutting great promos as a heel and he's had some good one's as a face. Does he slur sometimes? Yes. But so does 75% of that roster. Orton is very very young still. He'll learn and he'll keep learning.

A couple of guys on here totally putting Orton down like he's fucking Eric Watts is ridiculous.

Orton's IC title riegn was long, but unremarkable, unmemerorable, and he wasn't much of a fighting champion.

Also, this thread is one sided because people like you can't think of a good reason to like Orton. I hate Orton, and probably always will. This wasn't suppose to be lets debate Orton's abilities. It was an "I hate Randy Orton because he is a homosexual" thread.

I gotta agree with this as well.As for Orton's build Austin wasn't exactly built himself until the end of his career and HBK was never huge so what the hell does that have to do with Orton as a threat.Ric Flair looked real intimidating throughout his career

It's not that I hate Randy Orton (despite the thread title...), it's merely that I don't think he deserves what he's gotten thus far in his WWE career. Many, many, many other more talented wrestlers have been busting their asses in the company and haven't seen a World Title shot, EVER. Yet, because of Orton's alignment with Triple H, he's getting treated like royalty (much like Batista).

He is still very, very young, and I'm sure that was time goes on, he will get better in the ring and on the mic, but he's NOT there yet. He's not there yet, and he continues to get pushed towards the main event over guys who could take his place in the same angles and do it much, much better (Jericho, for a prime example).

Orton also has a very dislikable personality on the screen right now. His cocky heel persona was perfect for who he was, but now his Nick Lachey-like persona just bugs the shit out of me and most other wrestling fans too. And yet the WWE continues to shovel his shit down our throats. We have every right to bitch.

As far as your comments, DeadManWalkin, Austin may have never been built like a tank, but his angle with Vince McMahon and The Rock shot the WWF to levels of popularity that no one ever dreamed of. His beer-gut look WAS his character, and blue-collar America could relate to him. Shawn Michaels is one of the smaller WWE Champions in history, but his unbelievable charisma and talent in the ring made up for it and even surpassed it until you didn't even notice that HBK was smaller than most of his opponents. He was that good. Randy isn't.

People here don't think they can do better, they think the wrestlers can do better.

Orton was PHENOMENAL down in OVW. He was cutting OUTSTANDING promos as a heel. His promo work with Ric Flair and Triple H was good, and when he packs his heart and soul into it, it comes off really well.

I personally don't mind it when wrestlers make a few mistakes during promos, but I can understand why a few people might get a bit upset when Orton confuses title belts, or something.

People just like to bitch and moan about him, because it is easy. I could right an essay about how Jericho's workrate has dropped (because it had until just prior to the Elimination Chamber at NYR).

The WWE have shoved Orton down our throats, and it has not worked. Yes, Orton is more over than a lot of other guys. Yes, he can put on great matches. Yes, he can cut great promos when he wants to. There is so much going for Orton it isn't funny. But instead of letting him roast for a while as a heel that is on the verge of turning (like Batista), they had him win the title, retain it, had him betrayed by his allies and then said "Cheer him.".

When someone is shoved down your throat, you better hope they taste good and go down right. Orton has tasted good, but he hasn't gone down right, and that is something the WWE are changing with Batista who we all know tastes good. We are sitting with our mouths open in preparation now, waiting for Batista to go down and taste good. With Orton we were just sitting there, mouth shut, and they tried shoving him down and it was just a mess.

Sorry if that sounded gay, but that's how I think of it.
