It sounds like someone's cousin wrote this thing. The lines featured in the trailer, plus the blandness of the plot. Don't get me wrong, I'm not digging it because it has John Cena in it; I genuinely look at this as a shitty, shotty movie. But I wouldn't say the man is helping it at all. Partly because he looks completely ridiculous in the street beat uniform.

Based on this thread, I watched The Condemned last night. First WWE Film I've ever seen.

Thoroughly enjoyed it, for what it was. What a heel that Vinnie Jones is, huh?

If WWE is going to make a movie with Stone Cold, the movie should be Stone Cold himself in character beating people up in Texas or something. I mean that too. If you're going to make a shit action movie go balls to the wall about it and give the people what they want. They're there to see Stone Cold, not Steve Williams trying to play some guy with a good heart, or whatever they do in those movies.
WWE productions should reflect the WWE product, and not Vin Diesel movies

I've often thought they should do an ensemble piece where the wrestlers all play their WWE characters, with a few main guys carrying the story and the whole roster in bit parts, or supporting roles.

What I meant earlier is that I'll see it, but I'm certainly not going to rush to opening day. I was on the fence about seeing The Marine because I love cheesy action movies, but I don't love John Cena's acting. I'd heard mixed reviews ("It was a good cheesy action flick" and "It was the worst movie ever"), so I decided to find out for myself. Turns out I was right: It was a good cheesy action flick with a not-so-great lead guy.

Now that I know what to expect, I'll see this. My love for cheesy action movies will win out over my disdain for John Cena's acting.

Thing that is complicated is that, so many people on here only say they can't stand Cena because of his character. Some of those people are now saying (in this thread) they hate the way Cena acts. Ummm, ya........

Ah, gotcha. I would think they would bring the PG thing to all aspects of the product. The same kids who attend and watch the shows will undoubtedly see the movies, right?

It would make sense, but it would also be interesting if they excluded their movies from the PG edict altogether (to try to reach all movie-goers and not just people who watch wrestling).

I don't know... they can get away with quite a lot of shit on Raw for a "PG" show... I think I read recently that WWE was still rated PG even during the edgy prime Attitude era year of 1998, until they upped it in 1999 (that could be wrong, I just read that somewhere) so I guess they still need to cater to the adults watching.

WWE Films hasn't followed the televised wrestling products concurrent rating in the past, Condemned was rated R, so I guess it could be standalone.

I will be watching it and I'll give an honest review of it once doing so. It really doesn't even look all that bad. I'll bet I've seen worse.

Yeah Behind Enemy Lines III is R, so was See No Evil. It would be better for them to, as you said, cater to the adults watching.
