"Hostile Management" or whatever that mission is where you have to rescue a person from the top floor. Dayum, I got to the end and had no idea what to do and had to do it again, fricken hard

The boat chases really irritate me. Certain long missions do as well.

Also, question. Does this game do it where you can only kill a person after a certain point in a chase? Because if that's the case, I'd like to know so I could save ammo. It seems logical, even practical, that when you have a clear shot of the driver/pilot that you take them out. But often times, a well-aimed shot will have no effect. Case in point, the boat chase where Bernie is riding with you. I had several clean shots at the guys in the boat, and I hosed them. But they don't seem to be taking damage until they land on the docks. Suddenly, they drop like flies.

Actually, all the Bernie missions I've done so far seem like this. that gaytarded Motorscooter chase, the blackmailer chase, and the Russian mooks.

A lot of chase sequences don't allow you to kill them until the end. On the Bernie mission, for example, I even used a Rocket Launcher straight-on and it didn't do anything.

I've also noticed that depending on how close you are they will slow down/speed up. It was probably in previous games but I noticed it a lot more in IV, mostly slowing down. One minute they'd be going 60MPH+ then if I dropped back they'd be going like 30. Which would make sense if they weren't going on a straight run on the wrong side of the highway...

I did this one bike chase a few times and kept failing and I eventually figured out his route so I just went to the spot he was gonna go to and just waited there with a shotgun for him to ride by and blew his face off

ya, too many chase missions. the motorcycle ones are the worst. i only had to repeat the train and helicopter chase one time a piece.

Not really a bad game, but I liked San Andreas alot better, it has so much to do.

Guess there is not as much side stuff to do in this, and even though there was some dead zones in SA, they were kinda fun to rip through on some fast vehicle.

I think the thing I dislike the most, is how your friends call and ask to hang out, and your like a long ways away, and you wont make it back in time, and they dislike you for being late, then like you for taking them out, resulting in a net gain of nothing

Teah, that's what I was worried about.

The one that really pissedme off was when I was chasing the blackmailers for Bernie and the chase managed to not end after they ran into a Mac truck.

...Though when it plowed into me, it wrecked my car and ended the chase.

Yeah, SA had much more to do...but, overall, I didn't care too much for it storywise. As soon as I got the entire map open, I quit playing the missions and just fucked about with the different vehicles.

As far as GTA IV goes, I find playing online worlds more fun than the actual game. I've spent I think a total of 5 hours on Missions since I got it May 9th, and the rest has been spent online.

The cell phone DOES get pretty annoying, but you can put it in Sleep Mode to avoid getting calls. Especially, if you're mid-mission and can't be bothered with the constant ringing.

Alright, when you have the choice between killing Francis or Derrick, I killed Derrick, leaving Francis alive. He gave me the "Clear Wanted" ability. Does killng Francis give you something?

I killed Francis but got no special ability for doing it. Killing a cop for a smackhead gets you fuck all.

I killed Francis because he annoyed the fuck out of me, Derrick was ok in my book. Loved the funeral mission afterwards.

I got the Clear Wanted ability from dating Kiki, so I'm not sad to lose Francis.

francis sucked, he only answered the phone twice after i whacked his brother and you can forget about it if you have 3+ stars. but didnt matter since i had 100% with kiki.

I think the most annoying mission in the entire game was the motorcycle chase where you are following the 2 bikers down into the subway. it really pissed me off when they would get to the point where they would jump off the tracks, I always either crashed the jump or got lost trying to find which way they went and would end up blocking myself in under the overpass just long enough for them to get away. Finally whacked both those bitches on the tracks to win.

Also, the catch-up mechanic on chases is awful. I cut through an alley-way and waited for those tools to come by and they instantly go from like 20 to Warp 9. Ridiculous.

The chases are basically rife with Deus Ex. You can't seem to lose people unless you're trying to, but you'll be hard pressed to catch up. They're invincible until "the game" says so. I ran over a biker with one of the NOOSE vehicles, and all it did was slow them for a couple seconds. Which was useless, since I couldn't do something like kill them.

Yeah I hated that mission, eventually did it after I landed my bike on them when they jumped off the tracks, nasty way to go.
