I was just gonna say that the Spirit Squad are perfect for this PPV. Spirit Squad vs. Legends would be awesome, but I'd have Flair, Piper, Rhodes, Slaughter, and Hacksaw (since he's involved with the SS).

WWE Legends vs. The Spirit Squad
November 26, 2006 ![]() Former World Tag Team Champions the Spirit Squad have hade their problems with the legendary “Nature Boy” Ric Flair as of late. At Survivor Series, they’ll have a heaping helping of Legend trouble, as Squad members Johnny, Kenny, Mikey and Nicky will face Flair, Dusty Rhodes and WWE Hall of Famers “Rowdy” Roddy Piper and Sgt. Slaughter in a Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match. Problems began when each member of the Squad tried to defeat Flair in singles action; three were unsuccessful before Kenny finally achieved the goal. However, a match was made pitting Flair and a legendary partner of the WWE fans’ choosing against the Squad for the World Tag Team Titles at Cyber Sunday. The options were Piper, Slaughter and Rhodes; WWE fans chose Piper, and he and the “Nature Boy” defeated Kenny and Mikey to claim the gold. Despite not being chosen, Slaughter and Rhodes were firmly in Flair & Piper’s corner, helping them dispatch the Squad following the match. But at Survivor Series, all four will get the chance to battle the cheerleading quintet. The Squad’s fifth member, Mitch, will be lurking at ringside as always; however, the Legends team will have another one in their corner, as Flair’s best friend and former Four Horsemen teammate Arn Anderson will be at ringside with them. Will experience triumph over youth once more, or will the Squad finally get it back on track against four of the all-time greats? Check back tomorrow at 3 p.m. ET for the announcement of another Survivor Series match. |

From a point earlier in the thread, something I think is interresting:
"I don't see shit in" somebody in Wrestling isn't necessarily an insult. I remember reading about Terry Funk "not seeing shit" in somebody: Cactus Jack. I think it's one of those kayfabe things where they want the younger guy to believe they still have something to prove, but are truly impressed with them. Or, maybe I'm off. |

I'm pretty sure I read something about Triple H being impressed with CM Punk. The later complaints I read from Triple H was that he couldn't control a crowd, which sounds like bullshit to me, because it's what Punk's best at. So yeah, my guess is that Triple H was joking around when his comments blasting Punk were recorded.
Anyway, the Legends vs. Spirit Squad match strikes me as odd. Why not have Faarooq, Hacksaw Jim Duggan, IRS or Goldust return for the match, so Mitch can get involved? Hell, why not bring up Cody Runnels from OVW as "Cody Rhodes", even if it is for one night. And yes, The Spirit Squad must defeat the Legends. Hopefully SmackDown! gets a 4 vs. 4 Match now. Maybe Chris Benoit, Paul London, Brian Kendrick & Jimmy Wang Yang vs. Chavo Guerrero, William Regal, Idol Stevens & KC James? The heels could go over setting up matches for Armageddon, and to give them some extra credibility (which they sorely need). |

United States Championship Match
November 26, 2006 ![]() At Survivor Series, Chris Benoit will defend the United States Championship against a man he considered a good friend until recently – Chavo Guerrero. It was just this past April that Chavo and Benoit, along with Rey Mysterio, inducted the late Eddie Guerrero into the WWE Hall of Fame. But late this summer, Chavo took a turn to the evil side, costing Mysterio the World Heavyweight Championship. Chavo then began a rivalry with Mysterio, claiming Rey was making his career off being a Guerrero despite not being one. Vickie Guerrero, Eddie’s widow, joined Chavo in the crusade, which ended with Chavo putting Rey out of action following a brutal I Quit Match on SmackDown. Enter Benoit. The week after Chavo defeated Rey, he and Vickie stood in the ring gloating about making Mysterio quit. The United States Champion, who had been ignored by the Guerreros earlier in the night, came looking for some answers as to why their attitudes had changed; unfortunately for him, Benoit was once again ignored. The following week, Rey made one last appearance on SmackDown before his knee surgery. Once again, Chavo and Vickie came out to taunt Rey, and Chavo viciously attacked Mysterio’s injured knee. Benoit rushed to Rey’s aid, chasing off the opportunistic Guerreros and preventing too much further damage. All Benoit wants is an answer; at Survivor Series, he will have the chance to beat it out of Chavo. Will the Rabid Wolverine get what he wants from the third-generation Superstar, or will another Guerrero’s name be etched into United States Championship history? Check back tomorrow at 3 p.m. ET for the announcement of another Survivor Series match. |

Yeah, there are like three singles matches confirmed on the SmackDown! side.
I'm a little worried Paul London & Brian Kendrick aren't going to make the card. I really hope they find something for them to do. Maybe team them with Cryme Tyme against The World's Greatest Tag Team and The Teacher's Pets? That'd actually be a hot match. I just think London and Kendrick could really use the spot on the card, even if it were just to hobnob with more over stars. I probably would have preferred them to be on Team DX to The Hardyz, but oh well. DX and The Hardyz will still be awesome. |

Batista vs. World Heavyweight Champion King Booker
November 26, 2006 ![]() In January of this year, Batista reluctantly surrendered the World Heavyweight Championship due to injury. At the time, an emotional Animal made it clear that recapturing the gold would be his first and only goal following his return to the ring. Since that return, he has received a handful of opportunities to take back the championship, but each time, controversial circumstances prevented him from achieving his goal. On the November 3 edition of SmackDown, Batista made a deal with General Manager Theodore Long: protect King Booker in the days leading up to Cyber Sunday, and Long would owe him one. Batista lived up to his promise, and has asked the General Manager to pay up and grant him an opportunity to face King Booker for the World Heavyweight Championship at Survivor Series. Long obliged, setting the stage for one of the most anticipated championship matches in recent Survivor Series history. Since capturing the coveted gold at The Great American Bash, King Booker has faced a number of imposing challengers. Every time the King appears close to his demise, he seems to survive. Through controversy and questionable tactics, the World Heavyweight Champion has scratched and clawed his way to victory. At Survivor Series, he will need to once again rely on the experience that has made him one of the most decorated champions in sports-entertainment history. At Survivor Series, King Booker and Batista will take their storied rivalry to the next level. Who will emerge with the prestigious World Heavyweight Championship? Will the Animal finally re-claim his prize? Or will King Booker survive and walk out with his ransom intact? Watch Survivor Series, live on pay-per-view to find out. |

Could be, I thought they would have a Cena vs Umaga match but I see they put them in a team match. So I imagine Umaga will beat Cena and it will set up their fued.
I have to imagine looking at what is left on the rosters, and since 2 matches are left, that 1 will be a DIvas Survivor match or some crappy stipulation, and the last match....Maybe London/kendrick will get to defend. They are the only champs not on the card... It is os sad that not only is there never any good teams on TV, most smackdown fans probably dont even know who the champs are, since they are never on TV or PPV |

Oh shit, they confirmed seven matches, didn't they? So far we have:
-King Booker vs. Batista for the World Heavyweight Championship -Team Cena vs. Team Big Show -Team DX vs. Team Rated RKO -Chris Benoit vs. Chavo Guerrero for the WWE United States Championship -The Legend Squad vs. The Spirit Squad That leaves two spots on the card. Mr. Kennedy vs. The Undertaker is almost certainly going to happen. That leaves one more match. I really think it should be Paul London, Brian Kendrick & Cryme Tyme vs. KC James, Idol Stevens & The World's Greatest Tag Team, but it will probably be some shitty Diva Match. They can get Divas into the London & Kendrick match. To get Paul & Brian over more, why not have Ashley announce prior to the match, that if London & Kendrick win, she will do Playboy? With Charlie Haas currently teaming with Viscera, you could expand the teams to involve Viscera on the heel side, and Carlito on the babyface side. Carlito isn't scheduled to do anything, which is a crime, and he's got the thing with Torrie, which adds another Diva to the mix. So yeah, the last two Survivor Series Matches should be: -Mr. Kennedy vs. The Undertaker in a Buried Alive Match -Carlito, Shad Gaspard, JTG, Paul London & Brian Kendrick vs. Shelton Benjamin, Charlie Haas, Viscera, KC James & Idol Stevens |

I'd actually rather them nix the US title, and World title matches, as well as the expected Kennedy/Undertaker matches. Instead I'd rather them put Benoit/Batista/Undertaker/London/Kendrik vs. Guerrero/Kennedy/Booker/James/Stevens in a Survivor series elimination match. I think someone said it earlier in this forum that Smackdown as a single brand ppv coming up, so they should save those three single matches for the ppv.

Undertaker vs. Mr. Kennedy
November 26, 2006 ![]() At Survivor Series, WWE fans will witness the bloody result of a heated rivalry between two powerful SmackDown Superstars. On one side: the young and brazen Mr. Kennedy, on the other: the legendary Undertaker. WWE.com has confirmed that the two men will meet in a First Blood Match, one of the most brutal confrontations in the world of sports-entertainment. After boasting he had beaten every Superstar on the SmackDown roster, the cocky Mr. Kennedy got a rude awakening from SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long. Kennedy had forgotten about one of the most feared men in the history of WWE, Undertaker. After meeting in the squared-circle on multiple occasions, Mr. Kennedy, the self-proclaimed future of sports-entertainment, has not been able to claim a victory against Undertaker. When SmackDown rolled into Columbus, Ohio, Mr. Kennedy called out his rival to see if the Deadman would accept his Survivor Series challenge. In an unprecedented turn of events, Kennedy viciously attacked Undertaker leaving him broken and bleeding. Although Kennedy has beaten World Champions and is among a new breed of young and ferocious competitors, will he have what it takes to topple the Deadman? Those that have challenged Undertaker before have usually met sorrowful fates; will Mr. Kennedy be just another victim for the Phenom? Check back tomorrow at 3 p.m. ET for the announcement of another Survivor Series match. |
