Sick of people putting down CZW
I mean, I get it, 98% of the guys there can't wrestle and the garbage wrestling is uninspired. Yeah, so what if the announcers suck and I've seen better ring-work in XPW?

I just don't like hardcore wrestling, if thats what hardcore wrestling is.

I don't like flip flops and doo dop moonsaults.

The begining of ROH was as far as I could go with the zany high flying stuff. It's cool to watch but I like bad ass wrestlers, not guys who I could take out in a bar fight.

So, in short Garbage/Hardcore wrestling is not for me and I won't go out of my way to slam it unless I happen to watch a bad CZW rip off in TNA.

I liked ECW and a lot of Terry Funk and Cactus Jack's matches but, it seemed like the garbage wrestling of yesterday is fucking amateur wrestling 101 in comparison to some of the shit in CZW.

Again, even if you hate all hardcore, that's fine. The Japanese deathmatch stuff went over the line a lot in the 80s and 90s and much of it was stupid.

I think a lot of the reason I can still look back at Cactus, Terry and the ECW guys and still enjoy it is because they understood the emotion necessary to make the violence work. Terry Funk VS. Sabu at Born to be Wired is a good example of that. Yes it's grotesquely violent and bloody but, Terry and Sabu made me care about what was happening.

I don't 'mind' CZW, I mean, I'm not exactly a fan or anything, but occasionally they do put on some good matches with some great talent. It's when they start mutilating each other in this death match tournaments that I lose interest.
