The Undertaker’s Best Rivalry
I thought I’d create a thread asking everyone’s opinion on Undertaker’s best feud. My favorite is with Mankind.

Kane just above Mankind.
Edge should've been an option btw. |

Seriously though, Id say the Mankind feuds were the best but I'll give honorable mention to Ric Flair. The feud with Flair was short but Taker was soo "evil" at that time attacking Arn and David. Plus the match was great too (any match where Arn Anderson delivers a suprise spinebuster is an awesome match)

I'll go with Mankind dating back to 1996 as I remember them really pushing that Mankind had Taker's number as he beat him a few times. It was one of the only times in his career that he looked vulnerable.
I hope Kane doesn't get too many votes. All of the Undertaker-Kane feuds have been pretty bad with way too much "supernatural" stuff. Not to mention loads of bad matches. |

Let me add another post to my count by answering this thread:
1) Taker-Mankind (1995-1997'ish) 2) Taker-Kane (Round 1 1997-1998, round 2 2010-???) 3) Taker-Flair (2002) I want to add Taker-Edge, Taker-Angle and Taker-Batista but they are just honourable mentions. |

The Undertaker-Kane feud lasted three rounds (1st: 1997-1999, 2nd: 2003-2004, 3rd: 2010-present) And my favorite Undertaker feud was with Hulk Hogan back in 1991. |

This is pretty tough.
Kane: The feud had a very interesting backstory, and was written perfectly for WrestleMania 14. Their history got kinda fuzzy, but they always kept relevant with one another, and also drew fan interest, whether they were fighting or teaming. The match quality for the two of them hasn't been amazing, but it's been good. My favorite match of theirs has gotta be WrestleMania 14. Mankind: Classic matches, which of course includes the HIAC. I think what makes the Mankind feud different is that the feud was based off Mankind having Taker's number for being so unorthodox. HBK: They had 3 great matches with one another in the 90s, including the first (and best) HIAC. Then they go on to each getting "legendary" status, and gain so much interest for their Mania 25 match, which was so successful and perfect, that they had to cash in the very next year, and it delivered. Given that, I'd have to say that I personally enjoyed the HBK/Taker series the most. EDIT: Yeah, I gotta agree that Edge deserves a mention. That feud was booked perfectly and the matches were great. Oh yeah, and Taker/Bats was good. |

The feud with Brock was okay too. Remember enjoying that.
Triple H and Undertaker had a really good match at Wrestlemania 17. The feud leading to it wasn't all that great...just felt that it was a case of two top names having nothing better to do. 'Taker/Flair was good. Really good. But of that list, I'm going to have to say Mankind. |

I like Austin/Taker feud as well but it can't top the ones i voted. I started watching wrestling the time Austin faced Taker in Fully Loaded 99.

Kane feuds parts 1 & 2 were great, but I loved the ol' Mankind feud the best... HBK was great too, but still this was Foley's best work to me...

The Mankind feud was great. I voted for Kane, however. Mainly because the history, the storyline and the fact that both men made the better parts of their careers in this family storyline that can be picked up at any point. There would be no Kane without Undertaker & honestly Undertaker didn't need Kane....but it really helped.

If you're talking about matches, then it's Shawn Michaels. If you're talking about actual feuds and rivalries it's definitely Kane for me. That is one of my favorite feuds ever. The matches have been decent as well, particularly Wrestlemania 14 and I think NOC will be good. The only feud up there I didn't like was the Mankind feud, the only good match they had was the Hell In The Cell. I thought the Boiler Room Brawl and the Buried Alive Matches were atrocious. The Boiler Room Brawl between The Big Show and Mankind was a better match.

Mankind. The Undertaker/Mankind feud is what pulled me back into wrestling after being scared away by Papa Shango making Warrior vomit.
Paul Bearer turning on Taker was an eventful moment for me. |

Honestly, my favorite moment with Undertaker came in his very, very short feud with Jeff Hardy back in 2002, which culminated with their epic ladder match for the Undisputed Title on RAW.

I'm going to say it as much as I love HBK. Their feud never really made sense to me, I never "got" why HBK and Taker feuded. |

I voted for Austin just because the very first WWF show I ever watched was the Sunday Night Heat before SummerSlam and I seem to remember Austin doing something with a hearse.

Went with Kane. They always seem to cross paths at some point or another. Also, their history/rivalry may be the longest running storyline that WWE has ever gone through the trouble of keeping up with.
