WM 27: A Waste of a Roster
So the line-up for Mania 27 is finalized and there is no Money in the Bank. Does anyone else feel like they've completey shafted a whole bunch of great superstars?

The following Superstars are not included in the card:

- Kofi Kingston
- Christian
- Evan Bourne
- R-Truth
- Ted DiBiase
- Tyson Kidd
- Drew McIntyre

How hard would it have been to fit in a quick, 10-minute Money in the Bank match for these guys? Or better yet, some kind of Intercontinental Championship match featuring Kofi defending against one or two of them?

There have been whispers of a Kofi vs. McIntyre match being added, but I doubt it.

But either way - there are a ton of people left off the card every year. Christian and Swagger figure to be integral parts of their matches - and they might be thrown into the pre-show battle royal anyway because there usually always winds up being the same amount of participants as it is number of WM, so this year 27.

Well, Christian will be involved in a main event, and I wouldn't be surprised if he's a major factor in the outcome. So I don't have a problem with him not making the card, because he's at least on the show in a relatively prominent (that's how I) role.

Ted DiBiase at this point is a lost cause. He doesn't belong on Mania, and it's because of the way they've booked him.

Same with Kidd, really. And any other Superstars-exclusive talent.

The rest are really confusing, because they definitely deserve a spot. I really don't have a problem with MITB not being on the card since it takes away from the MITB PPV (which I don't think needed to happen but that's moot), but like you said, an IC title battle royal or Championship Scramble wouldn't have hurt anything. Or even a big IC/US unification six pack challenge.

Those guys will probably be thrown into the pre-Mania battle royal. At least they'll get a pay day.

There's two ways of looking at this:

Yes, a lot of these guys could use a spot on the card. R-Truth is over, if nothing else, and pretty much everyone else mentioned has a really bright future. But then there's also keeping the "purity" of the WrestleMania card in-check. While some of these guys should really be on there, and would be with just a little more work going into the writing, maybe they will kick it into gear to work extra hard next year?

Part of me is still sorta hoping for it to come time for the opening match at WrestleMania, only for Justin Roberts to introduce it as a "Money in the Bank Ladder Match," just as a special surprise. Christian, Drew McIntyre, Kofi Kingston, Evan Bourne, R-Truth and Ted DiBiase are all guys who could legimately compete in such a match. If you wanted two more guys, just throw in Tyson Kidd and Zack Ryder.

Out of those 7 guys it would be blatantly obvious that Christian would win if it meant a MITB Title shot. Christian's going to be involved at WM in the ME, so that should at least mean something.

I think we all pretty much knew when WWE did the MITB PPV that the MITB match at WM was out...kinda sucks but whatever.

Doubt it. I wouldn't be surprised if Sheamus wins, but Bryan works way too well against bigger guys not to give it some time. The match where he lost the title was great, his matches with Morishima were great, etc.

I'm betting it'll open the show though.

I don't like how everyone wants to just put a bunch of mid card talent in money in the bank like it's some throwaway gimmick match. Whoever wins the match has to go into the main event picture for a while and is almost guaranteed to be champion. None of the guys left off the card deserve or are ready for that push.

Just taking "the scraps" that were not booked for WrestleMania and putting them in a match with that kind of gravity behind it doesn't strike me as a good idea.

As TPWW's #2 Peep, I must say that I prefer Christian where he is (in Edge's corner) rather than having him getting stuffed into a random match in the last minute (like an eight-man tag against The Corre).

As long as there is still the Battle Royale at Wrestelmania, most of the non-used people will still have a shot at being on the show.

Christian and Swagger are still involved in other matches so they will be on the show and Nexus could still do a sneak attack to Orton during Mania to help Punk before his match.

Sheamus and Daniel Bryan almost didn't make it to Wrestlemania if it wasn't for the late feud those two got put into last few weeks.

I'd be more inclinedto buy it with a Money in the Bank match. In fact, that would be the final selling point to me.

As it stands, I'm not quite feeling the card. It feels like there's just a gaping hole that MITB would have filled.
