What would you change about the WWE?

I know this type of topic has been going on for years and is brought up again and again, but really, you could appeal to the mainstream, you could do your own thing, or just not give a crap.

Do away with two brands and go to one roster with two shows to work with. It would help out the titles immensely.

Reduce Pay-Per-Views to one PPV/six weeks while enhancing the importance of the big four PPVs. The reason the buyrates are so low is because the gimmicks are awful and the prices went up.

Unify the World Heavyweight & WWE titles (2002-2005 undisputed version), keep the Intercontinental, Tag Team, and United States titles, and retire the Divas title.

WWE would lose so much money if they over a third of what you said. You need to realize that this is a business with MASSIVE appeal, so they are not just trying to please you Rated R Classic.

Enforcing the brand split would work better than ending it, theres at least 2 PPVs built around the concept of interbrand matchups but you get them for free on tv every other week as it is.

Ending the split wouldn't be so terrible. That will open up a lot more possibilities and prevent the staleness that occurs when you have the same five guys trading opponents every week. Having one roster would allow the wrestlers that have done well in the last year like Alberto Del Rio and Wade Barrett to get a chance to work with everyone in order to continue their build.

In ending the extension, WWE would make all of their titles seem more prestigious again like before and possibly see their buyrates go up, because we wouldn't be seeing the same feuds.

1) Make a Tag Division. You got the belts, give them meaning.

2) Make the midcard titles mean something. Have people actually feud over them and not just hand it to a guy and forget about it.

3) Give people something to do if they aren't battling for a title other than job on Superstars or get steamrolled by a current champion. Not all feuds need to be over a belt. You got timeless topics like women or jealousy to choose from.

Addendum: Don't agree on ending the split. The whole point was the overbloated roster and getting more guys over. The problem is that it has become almost the same as it was BEFORE the idea was put in motion... same people, usually main eventers, domineering all the TV time. Get the brand extention back under control.

Pretty much this. Ending the split would just mean we get the Raw mainevent feuds dragged over to Smackdown and less guys getting a decent push towards the title.

SmackDown is suffering from a lack of wrestlers, and most of them appear on RAW anyway every month now. By getting rid of the extension, you allow stories to be played out better, giving them more time to develop. WWE pushing talent less if the brands merge isn't true at all. Just look at the era before this one. They managed to even have jobbers have a run, and those who aren't getting pushed now will never get pushed regardless. That's the business for you.

The benefits of merging the brands far outweigh the negatives. The tag titles are already unified, and the WWE could easily keep both the Intercontinental and United States titles like when they had the IC and European titles at the same time. The only title they'd have to get rid of is the World Heavyweight title, so they could unify it with the WWE title.

They really don't get more time to develop, not given the lower cycles of today's wrestling. What ends up happening is extra bullshit rehashing of the same main event all the way up to the next PPV. hey don't really add anything else to the story, just another gimmick match and multiple backstage skits on yet another show. This is actually a case SUPPORTING the brand split.

Think about it, example wise (and i'm using the following for example purposes, interchange the names as you see fit): leading up to the next PPV, would you rather see 8 shows featuring Miz and Cena, or 4 shows of Miz and Cena and 4 other shows of Del Rio and Christian? Don't be mistaken, pre split, the latter wouldn't even be an option, because SD! would be featuring the same feuds as RAW, just more filler.

A permanant unification of the world titles is the WORST thing they can do. It's bad enough they're only focusing on these belts at the cost of just about everything else on the show... now you want LESS main event talent elevation? Hell, if the titles were unified already, do you seriously think The Miz would be where he is right now? There is a correct answer, and that answer is "no". He wouldn't have been given the chance, except maybe (and that's a very strong MAYBE) right now since Edge is going.

I agree with Rated R in that it does give more time for feuds to be developed, but im not sure if thats a good idea, just more tag matches etc before they meet on PPV. The idea that one brand would allow the tag titles to mean more doesnt really hold true to me either, essentially there is only brand for the tag belts as they can be on both shows and they struggle to really mean anything. The IC/US title might garner more prestige that way, but its nothing that couldnt be done on a single brand if thats what the writers wanted.

Your idea to reduce the number of PPVs, i agree with in principal, but like Fragile X said its a business decision, the PPVs are profitable so theres no way they will be cut back, but they could do with being spaced out a bit better at times and dropping the forced stipulations.

This is what I would do...

I am a fan of The Rock vs Cena announced a year ahead, it's gonna get a big pay off eventually... I think WWE should start to book a little more in advance... like UFC. Why not book a match for next months card, let it build up for two months and get the big pay off after a good long story. In the mean time you have other big feuds and programs going the current PPV...

Usually only one World Title would get defended, the other champion either won't wrestle or will but in a non title match. Sometimes super matches could also be main events for PPV's like Randy Orton vs CM Punk or Triple H vs The Undertaker.

Immediate results could be stagnant but after a while of good writing the audience would get hooked and involved in the storylines over longer periods of time probably raising WWE's PPV buys because the matches on the PPV's are more special than years past.

WWE is really fucking good right now otherwise.

Just off the top of my head....

- End this whole Cole/King thing. Yes, it's generating heat but it's two announcers going at it. Have King destroy Cole, J.R. or Josh Matthews stay on as lead announcer, Cole can do SmackDown! after 'recovering'. The WWE still gets its blow-off and the announcing isn't all about Cole.

- Form tag teams or go for teams outside the company and push them hard.

- Fire like half of the Divas and get some decent workers.

- Re-establish the brand split.

- More pre-match promos.

- At least 2 matches on Raw that go 10 minutes.

- No more scripted promos. If the guys can't talk, they have no business trying to sell tickets.

- Lower the price of the lesser PPVs.

- Give the guys more freedom when putting their matches together.

- Fire writers who can't come up with anything for a wrestler.

Bring back Hogan and have him bury Miz for the title. Everybody loves Hogan. My Nan doesn't even know who the Miz is. Bring The Nasty Boys back and put the tag titles on them. Keep Santino face but turn the cobra heel. Book Santino vs the cobra for WM28.

Reveal the anonymous GM as the ghost of Jack Tunney, controlled by Papa Shango. Reveal that Tunney's ghost kicked Sheamus and Daniel Bryan off Mania. Give Daniel Bryan a ghostbuster gimmick to get him over. Have Ghostbuster Bryan attempt to avenge Tunney's snub.

Sorted.
