Arena League Football
So, I was sad that:
A)Saints are no longer playing B)that's about it Well, upon hearing that New Orleans is getting an Arena Football team, I felt slightly better.. New Orleans Voodoo.. I watched some the last couple of season (after NFL was over).. They start Feb.8 and I'm prolly going to alot of the games this year.. Sounds like fun... So, anyone a fan or watch some of the games?? Does your town have a team?? If so, what teams do you like?? Any players to watch out for?? Discuss.. |

I watch the games occasionally. I think the team here is the Dallas Desperados or something. I know the mascot is right, not sure if they are Dallas or Texas or whatever. I guess that shows how big of a fan I really am huh? I really just started watching because when I went to the Univ of North Texas I know some chicks from the dance team that were cheerleaders for the team.

It looks high paced and high scoring. Maybe vince should have went this direction with his XFL stuff.
I don't follow it myself. |

im not a big fan, they tried to move a team to Winnipeg but then they played an exhibition game and they got something like 2000 people to it. needless to say they moved somewhere else.

There's been talk of New England or Boston getting a team for a while, that the Krafts were going to get a team.
I dunno, I've watched it a little... can't say I don't like it, but would rather watch college. |

We have the Cincinnati Swarm. Theyre an arena2 team
meaning we get the players not good enough to even make the AFL |

When Pitino was at Kentucky he wouldnt schedule Cincinnati because he didnt want to play Huggins style of defense. Tubby still hasnt scheduled them and Pitino has to play them twice every year now.
I hate UC btw. Xavier all the way |

They jsut had a blurb on the AFL on TSN. They've expanded to 19 teams now. John Elway is an owner as well as owners of NFL teams. Bon Jovi bought a franchise for Philly for this year. They've got a NBC TV deal, so hopefully with the extra exposure, I'll get a chance to give it a good look. Me and football are love/hate. Right now I'm getting more in love with it again, so it would be a good time to watch it.

Ya know what's good about the AFL?
They have slowly built it up rather than having the first game be in primetime Saturday nights on NBC. But yeah, it's a good league to have around after the NFL season is over. I watched some of it last year and liked it. |

AFL > NFLE
I like the AFL. Sure, it's no competition with the NFL, but it's a worthy temporary replacement |
