Anyone remember Filmation's Ghostbusters/ 80's/Early 90's cartoons, shows

Like I know one person that's heard of this show. I loved it when I was a kid.

I used to mark out for that scene where they would transform into Ghostbusters and shit. It was eathier the show's opening or it was like during the middle of the show. I can't remember.

It's why the actual Ghostbusters movie spinoff cartoon was called "The Real Ghostbusters".

Yup. After a legal battle over trademark, they just popped on "Real" to change it.

The show wasn't that short lived, considering most cartoons of the day DIDN'T really run for more than a couple of seasons. The ape talked, but not often, and nothing more than Scooby Doo-esque lines. The car, however, did.

my favorite episode of that version of Ghostbusters was the one where they went into this parallel universe and there were evil versions of the Ghostbusters. And the episode consisted of the evil ones capturing the Real ones using some green slime. I think Peter was the only one who didn't get caught and he saved the day or something.
