Palmer Cannon quits
PWInsider.com is reporting that SmackDown star Palmer Cannon has left World Wrestling Entertainment's current tour of Europe and has flown himself home.

According to reports, the word among wrestlers on the tour was that Cannon recently gave his notice to WWE and that he was en route back to his home in Georgia. Although details are a bit sketchy at this point, we do know he left the tour on his own and it wasn't a request by WWE officials.

Cannon, who signed a developmental deal with WWE back in March of 2005, was originally trained by Killer Kowalski in New England and debuted on SmackDown as a representative of "The Network" as a heel role along with SmackDown GM Teddy Long. Cannon has continued to train and wrestle in WWE's Deep South Wrestling territory while playing his weekly role on SmackDown. He did work the SmackDown event in Bologna, Italy yesterday against Funaki. We hope to get more information on this as it becomes available.

As reported on Thursday, SmackDown star Palmer Cannon gave notice to World Wrestling Entertainment yesterday that he would be quitting the company, effective immediately. Cannon did this during WWE's current tour of Europe at the moment.

According to reports, Cannon was said to have been the target of some "hazing" by several SmackDown veterans as of late. When the hazing came to the point where Cannon almost had a physical confrontation with John Bradshaw Layfield, he made the decision to give his notice to the company and fly himself home.

Cannon, who signed a developmental deal with WWE back in March of 2005, was originally trained by Killer Kowalski in New England and debuted on SmackDown as a representative of "The Network" as a heel role along with SmackDown GM Teddy Long not long ago. Cannon has continued to train and wrestle in WWE's Deep South Wrestling territory while playing his weekly role on SmackDown. It should be noted that as of today, WWE has yet to grant his official release from the company. We will continue to follow this situation as it develops.
