Opinion Question...
How long do you think it would take (this is assuming they have flawless booking, and everyone stays healthy) for WWE to reach the level of national exposure and popularity it enjoyed during the Attitude Era?

It really depends on the talent they keep/bring in.
I don't really know, but I would think it would be at least half a year. |

With just flawless booking and healthy wrestlers, it'll never reach that level, in my opinion.
If TNA or another promotion provides competition and you have the above components, then I would say more than a year, less than two years. |

They need to end the roster split if that's going to have any chance of happening.

Assuming flawless booking, they could have it by the Royal Rumble.

You can only have flawless booking(or atleast close to it) with a complete roster imo, not two seperate ones.

With flawless booking? Well, depending on what you mean by "flawless", I'd say six months.

WWE won't reach that level of exposure and success again until they have some viable competition. Otherwise there's no incentive for new viewers to start tuning in.

I find the competition argument to be bullshit. Sure, it would force them to kick into super booking no bullshit mode, but they can still accomplish it if Vince would just step off a bit or start to book rationally and not booking his three brands as being on different levels.
To answer the question, No Way Out. Just after the Rumble to fire everyone up and just before Mania to do, well, even more firing up. |

This whole competition argument is bull shit. The NWA wasn't competition in the 80's and they still had a boom period. It's not a necessity.

Nor were wrestling promoters entirely complacent, because they had just dealt with LOTS of competition.

They don't need perfect booking. Perfect booking only gets the IWC. They need stronger cometition. Closest thing they got is TNA, and I don't see that becoming a viable enough enemy until by the end of next year or so. It'll be a whil before ratings can pick up again.

Competition isn't the only thing needed. They need something cool enough to make it to the mainstream. The Rock and Austin and DX could do it. Competition kicks you in the ass, and makes you come up with or steal new ideas, but it's not the be-all. In fact, if Vince and his company were good at their job, competition wouldn't mean shit. |

Never.
All the right pieces were in all the right places. It was the right time, with the right group of wrestlers, with the right competion, with a lot of the right scenarios. Oh, and not to mention flawless booking. The chances of that happening again are slim to none. |

I think it could happen again, but I don't think it can happen within this decade. I think the soonest they could possibly have a second coming, so to speak, would have to be after 2012.

First they would have to have the entertainment part down, and they are lacking a bit now. Then, something major would have to happen to bring national attention back to the company. without a major event, I will never happen.
