The Madden Curse: Are you a believer?
Now most of us that are NFL fans are familiar with the Madden Curse and what it is. For those that do not, here's an explanation from Wikipedia:

So the question, believer or not?

I never used to be, but with every cover athlete getting hurt, I find it hard to believe there's only coincidence to it, its just too many people over too long a span of time, though I have no idea why, it just seems like there's something to it especially now with Alexander being hurt, since the guy has never missed a game in his career to injury or his wife's childbirth up to this point in his career

Yeah, although for a couple of them (Eddie George, Ray Lewis) it just looked like they were looking for something wrong. "Ray Lewis was too injured to play in the Pro Bowl." Come on.

Incidentally, Ray Lewis got hurt the year after and missed a bunch of games, that would've been more valid thatn too hurt to play in the pro bowl, no one wants to play in the pro bowl lol

With Eddie, he was just awful the season after and beyond, that too would've been more valid than a postseason fumble

A believer in coincidence? I used to have the same position you did, but seriously, there's no way that coincidentally that all these guys have gotten hurt or had shit years after being on the cover of Madden. How would you explain it?

I'd say no. What happens is people just pay more attention to the players, and thus putting more pressure on them. They make a mistake or get injured, and people immediately jump at it as 'The Madden Curse!'.

Just superstition that people get carried away with.
