Yeah, according to Have A Nice Day, D'lo slipping and dumped Droz on his head, and never left his bed side at the hospital.

Droz worked with the WWE untill a couple of years ago on their website or something.

Maybe they gave him a huge severance paycheck and the option to come to any event he ever wanted to

I wouldn't be suprised if his release was some sort of mutual agreement where he just wouldn't have to work anymore but would be set for life.
At least I"d like to think that. A multibillion dollar corporation cutting off and firing a guy who was paralyzed under their employment would be reprehensible.

He still contributes regularly to their website and magazine, and I imagine he is paid for it. He could be a freelancer, but I doubt it. Either way, he is not completely out of the employ of the WWE. I assume, of course, on that same token that he doesn't also hold out hope of wrestling again one day.
