Contra 4 is fucking greatness. Reminds me a lot of Contra 3, which is good. Too bad most of the other titles never came Stateside, so we'll probably end up getting this.

I have bad memories of getting owned in those games. Still awesome stuff though. I love how the levels can always become such clusterfucks.

I love how to beat most of the levels, you have to get it down just right. Make one wrong move and you're fucked.

I agree.
To me, this brought more replay value to the game than most modern games have. You literally had to play, over and over, until you memorized how the game works, what bug pops up where, how to beat each boss efficiently, etc.
