Should Festus Be Repackaged?
My suggestion would be to turn Festus heel and make him a psychopath who can cut promos and speak whenever he wants. Put a mask on him and drop the name altogether.

IMO CM Punk looks the most healthy in the WWE. He looks like a normal yet extremely athletic guy. Not like a roid monkey and doesn't have man boobs, he found the happy medium. Lance Storm is another example.

It would be hard to repackage Festus in a different persona. He is still very young, like 24 or 25, but he would do very well as a heel.

Why not move him to Smackdown and team him with Knox? Together they could be a pretty dominant tag team. Kind of like Kozlov and Zeke. Or better yet, put those 4 said guys in a stable and have Regal be their leader/mouthpiece. Could be pretty good if done right.

I agree, but not so much because of his size. I think it works for a brawler. It's more that he's going bald. I don't think this is a major problem, but it's more a con than a pro.

He is only 25, and for a guy his size, he's not nearly horrible in the ring. Some of his strikes look down-right brutal. He's also fantastic at playing characters. He got the mannerisms of Kane down for that role.

Looking on his Wikipedia page, during his early days teaming with Jesse in OVW, he went by the name "Justice Dalton." This could actually work for him -- especially if he's playing a character that doesn't seems a little morally off-centre.

It's not his size that is the issue, it's his build. He's not built to carry all that excess goo he has on him. It's one thing to carry extra pounds and look big and mean, it's another thing to have gross jiggly rolls flabbing all up and down your body. He literally makes me want to vomit when I look at him. The least he can do is put on a shirt.

Same can be said for Tank Abbott... no where near as successful as Vader... but at least he looked scary. He has muscle.... he's just a fat fuck.

Festus has not an ounce of muscle tone on him. It's gross. If you want people to buy guys, they don't need to look like body builders but they need to look like they have an athletic bone in their body.

And if they don't (see Bam Bam, One Man Gang, etc.) they cover that shit up.

Okay, Have Kane and HBK in a Hell in a cell Match, and Have a masked festus walk out about 30 minutes into the long match, he can ripe off (no pun intented) the cell dore and be revealed as Bane, The Undertaker and Kanes half brother.

better yet have it be DX VS Taker and Kane for Bane's first appearance.

It's actually not a bad idea, considering how messed their stories are. Is it so hard to believe that Paul Bearer hid away another son who has been training for years to get revenge on both Kane and Undertaker?

I don't think I would call him "Bane," though.

Festus definitely deserves something to do. When he got moved to Raw I thought for sure they at least had some semblance of plans for him, but he hasn't even been used in segments where the whole roster appears.

NEW FESTUS GIMMICK!!!! Can’t wait! Eager to see the new finisher. Glad he shaved his head. The hairline made him less intimidating.

He looks a lot more buffer. Great to see the man get another shot. He’s great. I want him to brutalize Slam Master J for the years of influence and would find it funny to see Slam Master try to ring the bell, only to get his “bell rung.”
