Ok, so it's a thing about the people involved, rather than the actual move of three superstars coming together.

The other big difference was Boston had to make trades for the team to get its Big Three which could have been stopped had Seattle and Minnesota said no (Seattle got the better deal at the time).

Miami's Big Three appears to have been done by the players themselves in advance without anyone else knowing. Then you combine it with the way Lebron left and the whole debut "party" ended up making a lot of people hate them. Also, Wade got really cocky this year while Bosh trashed his former team leading up to that "party." It also didn't help how Lebron was upset and felt people couldn't criticizing the way the team acts as if they were only allowed to praise the Heat.

As bad as the Lakers getting Gasol for basically nothing at the time, the blame went fully on the Grizzles for making the dumb trade (now it seems better due to Marc Gasol being good).

ESPN has the rumor of the Cavs looking to trade to get the #2 pick so that they can get both Irving and Williams in this year's draft.

The Cavs are working on a deal with the Timberwolves and Pistons where the Cavs would get #2 pick from Minnesota, #8 pick from Detroit, and Richard Hamilton (contract dump). Minnesota would get the #4 pick and #8 pick from Cleveland while Detroit gets $16+ million extra in cap space from dumping Hamilton.

Hamilton would then most likely sign with Chicago as a free agent.
