Damn dude, GET. OVER. IT. Why wouldn't I be loyal to the team that the player I follow is on? Why wouldn't I adopt them as MY Team if MY player is on them? and I think you mistake 'happy' as 'loyal'. I'm loyal to Lebron, I'm happy for Miami. and just as there is a strong backlash in here From Slicky Tricky Damon, Alvarado, and the likes of people who bag on lebron, I tend to push back by being as obnoxious as I wanna be as a Lebron fan/Heat Supporter.

If you dont agree with this stance, I could care less. There are two things that you should take from this:

1. Get over it
2. shut the fuck up already.

I figured saying something like "we've been talking to this guy about coming here" while he's still with another team would lead to a penalty.

Didn't know they couldn't say "that guy would fit here" or "we might be able to get him here" about signed players, though.

Yes, it is. I'd also make it a rule that NBA teams can't discuss anything publically about next season until after the Finals is over. Give the teams that made it to the final the respect of not talking about anything else except them.

Makes sense. He's got experience in coaching, at least. I'm interested to see what Kidd can do, though. Do NBA teams have a bunch of assistants like MLB teams do? Could be a good place for Kidd to start.

Do you think players should wait before becoming coaches rather than jump in right after retiring?

If the Nets were smart, they might want to wait another week or two considering Doc Rivers might become available. He's currently deciding on if he wants to coach another year with the Cs or leave for a new team.

Danny Ainge says Doc is staying but Ainge does and says a lot of things that end up becoming different in the end.

Doc Rivers currently being rumored for the Clippers job should he decide to leave the Cs.

The Los Angeles Clippers have not formally requested permission to interview Celtics coach Doc Rivers in the wake of widespread reports about Rivers' potential departure from Boston, but there is strong mutual interest between the parties, according to sources close to the situation.

Sources told ESPN.com on Thursday that Rivers is highly intrigued by the idea of coaching the Clippers in the event that he and the Celtics part company after nine seasons together and one championship in 2008 ...

The Los Angeles Times, citing several NBA executives, reported Wednesday that if Rivers decides he doesn't want to coach in Boston anymore, the Clippers would be interested in him and he would become their No. 1 choice ...

But sources added that Boston could be moved to let Rivers out of his deal depending on the level of compensation the Celtics get from the Clippers, whether that's a veteran player or future draft picks. The thought in coaching circles is the close relationship between Ainge and Rivers might help the coach get out of his obligation.

Also being rumored the Clippers could revive the Pierce/KG - Bledsoe/Jordan trade talks if Doc does leave Boston.

Bunch of NBA news:

NBA fined Chris Bosh $5,000 for his flop yesterday.

Kobe Bryant teases he's extending his "retirement" goal by another season. Was rumored next season would be his last (always desired to retire around the age of 35-36) but now his goal is for two more seasons.

Dwight Howard currently rumored to be interested in playing for the Clippers next season especially now that Chris Paul has been in close contacts with him recently. If it doesn't happen its because the Hawks are rumored to be making a strong push for both guys.

Nets coach Jason Kidd recently extended an offer towards former Pistons coach Lawrence Frank to be part of his staff for next season. If he accepts, it lets him stay in New Jersey and with his wife who is currently ill.

Clippers-Cs started trade talks for Rivers while the Clippers are also considering a deal with the Lakers as another option.

The Los Angeles Clippers and the Boston Celtics have formally opened serious discussions on multiple transactions that potentially could add up to a seismic trade arrangement that ultimately lands Celtics stars Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce and coach Doc Rivers in L.A., according to sources close to the process.

Sources told ESPN.com the Clippers are concurrently weighing the prospect of offering star forward Blake Griffin in tandem with prized young guard Eric Bledsoe to the Los Angeles Lakers in a sign-and-trade pitch to land Dwight Howard after July 1.

http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/9390303/los-angeles-clippers-believe-land-doc-rivers-kevin-garnett-paul-pierce-according-sources

Yahoo Sports is stating the Clippers-Cs deal would involve the Clippers getting KG and Doc while the Cs would get Jordan and a 2 1st Round draft picks. Pierce would be rumored to be traded in a second deal at a later time.

Although LA Times is stating the Clippers are already planning to hire either Lionel Hollins or Brian Shaw by next week if no trade is agreed to by the Cs.

Clippers-Cs trade deal on hold and probably about to collapse again.

Clippers do not want to trade Bledsoe while the Cs want him in any deal that also involves KG going to the Clippers. The Clippers are refusing because they need him in order to persuade the Lakers to trade Howard.

Whole thing is expected to be done or fall apart within the next 1-2 days.

If both fail then there is another series of potential deals involving several teams for Bledsoe.

Sources say that the Clippers, meanwhile, have already engaged the Orlando Magic and Indiana Pacers in separate trade discussions headlined by Bledsoe, with Orlando's Arron Afflalo and Indiana's Danny Granger as the respective trade targets.

Heat defenders seem to think that saying Game 6 was a San Antonio chokejob takes away any sort of legitimacy of a title. It doesn't. The Heat got a lucky break and took full advantage of it and clearly were the better team in Game 7. Good for them. Lucky breaks happen and the Heat were able to capitalize. Doesn't change the fact that the Spurs cocked up royally.

Great series overall.

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1677741-exclusive-chael-sonnen-details-history-beef-with-lebron-james

Bleacher Report: What prompted you to call LeBron James a dork on The Jim Rome Show? Is there any sort of history between the two of you?

Chael Sonnen: His name being brought up prompted it. He makes (Steve) Urkel look cool. I would have liked to call him a twat, but they changed subjects.

Let me tell you a story about LeBron. He asked the UFC for tickets for my fight against Anderson Silva. We sit the guy front row, and all through the night he snubs our fans. He’s a guest in our house and he refuses to sign any autographs or take any pictures unless your cup size was later in the alphabet than he was able to learn.

And from what I understand, he thinks the letter purple comes after "C." This guy walked up to my fiancee backstage and asks her if there’s a Tic Tac in her blouse or if she was just happy to see him.

I had a UFC employee tell me he saw a mother wheel her handicapped child up to him to get a picture. LeBron was walking towards them. When he reached the kid, the mother stopped the wheelchair. LeBron took the wheelchair, wheeled it out of the way and kept walking.

I'd like to slap the divots right off his face.

3 in a row guarantees it but think the agreement is at least 2 titles back-to-back and another within 2 (maybe 3) years before or after the back-to-back.

Its why the Spurs were never considered as one and the Bulls dynasty included the years the Rockets went back-to-back. Heat's 1st title (2006) is too far away from their 2nd title (2012) to have it count.

NBA set to approve the newest Clippers-Cs deal which sends Doc Rivers to the Clippers in return for 1 first round pick (2015).

NBA had hinted they would have denied the original deal of KG & Doc for Bledsoe and 2 picks due to rules involving coaches being in player trades.

Sources confirmed on Sunday that the Clippers will sign Rivers to a three-year, $21 million contract. They will send a 2015 first-round pick as compensation to the Celtics, who have agreed to release the coach from the three years, $21 million he has remaining on his deal with the club.

Celtics get a few other players as well but all are either just as salary dumps or as sign-and-trade players.

Was so glad to see Denver draft a big man...then they traded him for a point guard from Virginia Tech. *Sigh*

Cleveland is farkin retarded. They always talk about getting a bigman to play with Kyrie, then pass on Noel.

76ers are just as retarded, trading away an established young talent for the unknown in Noel and a pick next year. Guaranteed to suck this season.

Snells and Murphy to Da Bulls. I like it! Need to dump Boozer though.

Also, i know he's just a second round pick, but I do think the lakers found a good stretch 4 in Ryan Kelly.

How good were the Sixers with Jrue Holiday as their best player?

Of course they are going to suck... That's the point.

to be fair they probably wouldn't have drafted Gobert if Utah didn't want him

they didn't want a first round pick so they can resign Iguodala

Doc Rivers was really being kind of an asshole here. I'll admit to being a bit of a Grantland fanboy so I might be a bit biased but it's quite obvious what happened. Doc Rivers signed an extension, the Celtics organization decided to rebuild, and Doc Rivers decided he'd rather be on a team that was already full of established talent instead of being a part of the rebuild process. I hate when people do the "There's much more to the story" and then they don't elaborate at all. I'm thinking there probably isn't more to the story. Doc Rivers knew what he was doing and where he was going. Simmons is right but at the same time it's not like Doc Rivers is going to tell the truth to the media because they'd blow it completely out of proportion.

It's simple. Doc Rivers wants to coach a team that's good now, not a team that will be good in 5-10 years. That's fine, he's just being untruthful and defensive about it.

By the way, it's just a bit of a dick move anyway for the former coach of the Celtics to call the biggest Celtics fan on the entire planet an idiot. That would be like Patrick Stewart kicking tb1 in the balls on national television.

Doc Rivers is a shit coach. He sucked before the big three, and he sucked after they got old.

It's crazy how players/coaches will go to the "he didn't play" excuse against Simmons, when he basically researched and wrote the Basketball bible.

Think Doc also forgot that Simmons is a big Clippers fans as well so this feud won't just disappear now that Doc is gone from Boston.

Don't blame Doc for leaving though considering Ainge has been pretty horrible when it comes to building a bench and rebuilding. Only managed to build a good bench once and that was the title year while he's been more miss than hit with the drafts.
