The preseason ended last night and I am very optimistic about the Hornets.. We def need Gordon to come back and stay healthy because he is our best offensive player.. The rest of the team is young but with the additions of Unibrow Davis and Rivers, NOLA should atleast complete for a playoff spot in the west..

ESPN did once the Lakers got Nash and Dwight.

They even went as far considering the Thunder (pre-trade), Spurs (experience), and Celtics (got younger) as the only legit spoilers. Everyone else was basically hinted as having no chance or being more of a shock than legit force.

Although they did consider Minnesota for some strange reason as the 3rd best team in the West before the recent injury to Love I think.

James Harden traded... Feels like the Lakers path to the finals got a little clearer even though they're picking up Kevin Martin. He's a good scorer, but they had trouble balancing Westbrook's desire to score with flowing through Durant and I don't think Durant is as domineering as Kobe to where he'd say how things were going to work.

George, Plumlee, Green, Sam Young, Augustine passing. I dont know where the defense is going to be, but it's gunna be fun.

Problem with the NBA isn't the luxury tax which was reworked again to be more harsher to big market clubs but instead the actual cap is soo soft that its useless against the big spending teams.

Lakers seem to be the biggest offenders but plenty of other big teams just ignore the cap as long as they have the funds to pay the tax penalties.

OKC is smart enough to realize their massive fan base is more due to the fans still in a "honeymoon" status with the team and not because the fanbase is rock solid which is why they don't want to risk their future by splurging on lots of big deals. Miami's fanbase is the best example of this where they show up in droves for the 2006 title year and then disappear en masse within a year or two later.

Sammy, I believe I've already tried to explain this to you, but I'll try it again. Because I don't have a local team to root for, every year I pick a new team to cheer for for an entire season. It makes the season much more enjoyable for me than just watching games without a rooting interest. It also makes the season more enjoyable for me if I am over the top with my fandom. It's silly, it's lighthearted, and most importantly, it's harmless. Two years ago I picked the Trailblazers. Last year I picked the Kings and then the Pacers in the playoffs. This year I happened to pick the Lakers. Most people don't seem to have a problem with what I do, but you seem to be personally offended by it. I am sorry that I hurt you. It was not my intention. But you should also know that it's not going to stop until the Lakers season is over. I hope we can move past this.

I kinda hated LeBron after the decision, but the more he kept talking, the more I realized that he's not an asshole, he's just stupid.
