According to Visual Concepts studio, the main reason why a bunch of stuff is missing from WWE 2k15 is because they spent too much time working on Superstar Studio and not having a real plan on what would be included in the game. Played a big role in why 2K wasn't willing to discuss much about the game before it was released.

For WWE 2K15, we were unable to support new versions of Create-an-Arena, Custom Divas, Create-a-Championship and Story Designer. This decision was extremely difficult, but a necessary one, in order to deliver a more focused and polished game. The primary reason we did not announce these changes earlier is due to the team working until the last minute to retain as many features as possible.

I'm really glad I didn't get this game for the 360 when it was released. I could be wrong, but from what I've read and seen so far, the game comes across as being terrible.

If I'm ever really bored within the next year and I have a spare £10, I'll probably pick it up, but right now, I'm just waiting for 2K16.

According to some people with early copies of the PS4 version, it doesn't support the new Share Play feature (ability to share a single copy of a game with friends online).

Also rumors/speculation that editing superstars on the PS4 and Xbox One might end up causing 2 CAW spots to be taken up instead of the previously assumed one spot.

A full fledged Create-A-Match mode could render a long list of pre-set match choices moot, so this could be a change to a more streamlined menu anyway. Like Halo, just make and save match types. There were already elements of match editing in past games, I think this would be the logical step.

Actually yes I can. I mean it's the first I thought about when they talked about bringing stamina back. Matches that usually trail on ('Epic' type matches, Ladder, Iron Man, etc) would be rightfully impacted by a stamina system. A wrestler should struggle to climb a ladder after 30mins of monkey spots.

Yeah this year's version issues has a lot to do with the WWE although Yukes probably would still find a way to mess up like past years. 2K should really consider doing a "Call of Duty" style for the series with multiple studios so that Yuke and Visual Concepts get at least an extra year's of worth per game.

New consoles are very difficult to develop with. Wen you only have a year to put the game out, that makes it even worse.The same thing happens with all the annual sports franchises. NHL 15 had a bunch of stuff removed as well.

It takes a couple years for devs to really unlock the potential of a system and get the most out of it.

2k says they are building from the ground up and that combined with the console being relatively new, means they had to sacrifice some things to improve the foundation of the series, and that features that were cut would return in the the future when they are more familiar with the console.

Whether that's true, I dunno. We've seen companies exclude stuff to bring it back as a "new feature" in a later version, but there is just too much removed for that to be the case.

We won't know for sure until 2k16, to see if all this was worth it.

Apparently next-gen is getting better review scores than 360/PS3, although not by much. IGN gave it a solid 7.

Played for about 30 minutes this morning. Started the Punk/Cena showcase.

The presentation is awesome. They do a ppv-movie-type trailer/summary that talks about the rivalry and showing real WWE footage leading up the match you are about to play. It felt great to relive the MITB match between Punk/Cena. I felt the Punk model is sub-par compared to most of the other models. Not sure if he was available for scanning when they were scanning everyone else or what... but yea.

Gameplay feels completely different. Every previous version of WWE games I have been able to play on Legendary difficulty with Epic match settings and absolutely dominated from start to finish. Counters were very easy to execute, they feel much harder this time around. The icon pops-up, but if you press the counter button as soon as you see it, 99% of the time, it is "Too early". You have to be pretty spot on as the impact of the move takes place to effectively counter it.

Back to the match...... I didn't bother with checking the options so everything was at default and Cena pretty thoroughly kicked my ass. The chain wrestling feature is nice and adds the realism element to the flow of things. You can strike or wrench your opponent in each hold up to 3 times per hold (trying to find the hotspot). The CPU was surprisingly fast at this and it made for a really good back and forth feel to start off the match.

The commentary, while still spotty at times is by far the best commentary of any previous WWE game to date. It is obvious when Cole/Lawler or any other combination of announcers are calling the match that they recorded actual conversations and not just one liner after one liner.

After having my ass kicked, I went to exhibition and did a 6 man tag of The Shield v The Wyatt Family. The Shield entrance could have been better, but it works for what it is. Started the match as Ambrose (v Luke Harper) and it was somewhat even. Harper tagged out when he started getting a beat down and Bray came in and started tearing Ambrose apart. I tagged in Reigns and things felt like they were more even. I highlight this because each superstar feels different when you play as them. Reigns hits hard and his moves have quite a bit of impact and it feels that way.

Briefly checked the community creations and updated Rollins and Ambrose already exist and look incredibly accurate. Here is hoping they patch custom themes in at a later time.

That is the extent of what I was able to do in the short time before I had to leave for work. So far, it feels reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally good and I am looking forward to mixing it up after work this afternoon/evening.

I would say yes. Even with all that's been cut this year, there is still a ton to do, and from a gameplay standpoint, everything feels different.

One thing in particular I noticed is how much more solid strikes are. Especially when guys are getting up? Remember in past games how when you attacked guys getting up that it would look really weak, like it was just sliding right off? Not here. You get solid connections on your strikes while they get up. It looks really good.

There are a ton of little things like that in the game. When you get a guy beat down enough and his stamina is low, he'll crawl to the ropes to help him up. I did a top rope elbow drop on a guy crawling, thinking it would slide right off like in previous games, but I flattened him right back onto the mat. So satisfying. Also did a running attack on a guy who was crawling and kicked him right in the gut.

The big thing is that everything just flows so much better like drave said.

Gonna try Career for the rest of the night.

Had a couple of hours with this last night and it is definitely worth it, especially if you are a WWE fan.

It took me 4 tries to beat Cena in the MITB match with CM Punk. The match flow had a good feel to it. Cena is really fucking tough to beat though. I had my signature available while Cena was at 29% momentum. I hit it, then he did his "comeback" 5 moves of doom and fucking beat me more than once. Pretty annoying at times, but true to the product I guess. After the win, Vince came down yelling to "Get Del Rio down here damnit!" (he was MITB holder at that time). Showcase mode is highly entertaining and done incredibly well. It somewhat resembles the Attitude Era mode from 13.

The win came after a hard-fought 15 minute match with both Punk and Cena being exhausted, me kicking out of an AA, Cena kicking out of one GTS, but not the 2nd one. It was a solid back and forth match and I never really felt like I was "dominating".

Did a few matches in the HHH v HBK showcase and it has an awesome feel to it as well. Starts with the unsanctioned street fight from Summerslam 2002. They added in a few elements to give it a realism factor. For example, an objective popped up mid match for HBK (me) to do a top rope signature move on HHH. As I initiated the signature, the match entered a "cinematic" where I was not in control. It involved HHH racking HBK and then beating his ass with a chair, just as he did in their actual match. The commentary from the actual match was imported so it "flowed" as if it did on the actual PPV. Took me two times to be successful in that match as the first time HHH reversed Sweet Chin Music into a Pedigree and stole it.

Spent some time creating a custom superstar. The default create options are incredibly limited and IMO, suck. There were a total of 10 hair styles all of which are modeled after current WWE Superstars. I guess it is somewhat of a double-edged blade as previous CAW environments felt diluted with TOO many choices in certain categories. I did go to the upload studio and holy shit there are a TON of options, and most are very well done. Downloaded some Sons of Anarchy gear because fuck you it's awesome. Users have absolutely perfected new logos (Ambrose, Rollins, etc.) as well as updated models, including Stardust.

Only had my first two matches in MyCareer which has involved Bill DeMott yelling at me throughout the whole match at the Performance Center in front of no one. That can make things feel as if they are starting very slow, but getting used to it. Had a 4/5 star match with Corey Graves and you are graded on various areas that increase your overall match performance which leads to more attribute points.

The only negative I can really give is on some of the superstar models. Some of them are incredibly well done because of being scanned, but others are quite horrible. The difference between who was scanned in and who was not is very apparent which can lead to a kind of "sigh" moment pertaining to current gen. They have done well with the game, and 2K16 can only improve upon the new base they have built.

BTW, with PS4 do I need PS Plus to use the in-game store? I opened it 5x and it was always empty, I had to look in the PlayStation store after closing the game to find the accelerator as I had already had punched in the Sting and Season Pass codes.

Bill Demott's comments during the Performance Center training in MyCareer is the most annoying fucking thing in this game.

Won my first two NXT matches so far. They were against custom superstars though, but the last guy was HUGE and was throwing me around quite a bit, even after a clothesline from hell (signature) and a double-underhook sitting piledriver.

If I win two more in a row, I will be the #1 contender. Regal said there is someone in the back itching to fight me, so I am wondering if it will be an actual NXT superstar this time around.

Ready to go home and play some more, it really is a fun game.

Couple negatives about gameplay

They need to get rid of the stomp reversal where the guy rolls to his feet in super speed. It looked bad before, but now that the rest of the game is more realistic it looks even worse. Mysterio and Bryan can get away with it, but when Big SHow or Ryback does it, I cringe.

Also, tag matches are a bit of a pain now, because your partners do absolutely nothing. You have to knock your opponents off the apron yourself if you don't want them to interfere with a pin. Hopefully that gets patched.

Minor gripes at best though.

Also, is reversing finishers way easier now for anyone else? Did the entire HBK vs HHH showcase, and HBK never hit sweet chin music once. Reversed it every time. AA is tougher, but I've still reversed that a bunch of times too.

I caved and bought the Digital Deluxe edition for £59.99. It includes the Season Pass so it works out cheaper. Little gutted that I didn't get the pre-order in the morning with Sting.

Played a few matches earlier. Beat Bryan with Bray, lost to Ziggler twice as Cesaro before beating him on the third go around. Then beat Ziggler for the belt as Harper.

I'm liking the new system so far.

Bit weird that they took out the Ladder Match but left in TLC. Though I suppose they're one and the same for the most part.

Ya i kinda forget hiw i did it, but i think you go to edit the wrestler in career mode and you click on his name amd it'll bring to all the options -- entrance name, twitter name, ect... When i decide to play it again i'll chek it out again if you havent found out how to do it yet. I know you can do it because i changed a downloaded character of raven to falcon -- so the announcers would say the name.

You need stamina to do nearly anything. Signatures/finishers usually take around 50% stamina.

Stam + momentum were one of the first attributes I raised. It makes the matches much more easy to survive and fight back early on.

Also, after a signature, try to remain near your opponent for a "Charged Finisher" which usually does a bit more damage and when combined with the signature, is nearly a guaranteed 1-2-3.

Actually seems like even though it's a legit gripe, it's still so trivial compared with DLC in last years game, including Summer Rae, Virgil, Big Show's "The Giant (n.W.o.)" WCW character, the n.W.o/the Outsiders pack and the Superstars and Moves packs, all of which suffered from a major glitch where none of the wrestlers have their movesets and they still have not issued a fix or patch for it. So annoying.

Learned this the hard way with trying to DL Summer, Virgil & The Giant when trying them out proved fruitless...their lack of movesets which they should have makes them and whoever's unlucky enough to be in a match with them comically both fall down with almost every move attempt by DL characters. Even going to each of their movesets, hitting "Default", saving, backing out to the title screen, going to the dashboard, removing and re-downloading, starting the game back up and trying from there doesn't work,. You just get an error message saying damaged or missing content cannot be loaded or played, and is removed.

Even the downloadable Biker 'Taker, who works fine has one minor issue: He's dressed as JD 2000-era American Badass 'Taker, but instead of his 2000 Kid Rock "American Badass" theme and tron, comes out to "You're Gonna Pay" and fall 2002-Survivor Series '03 Biker 'Taker tron. 2K seriously needs to get their shit together if they hope to continue the series.

Easy way is to go through your moveset and put in moves that have (dirty) next to them. Those give instaheat from the crowd.

Also, behave like a heel. Get yourself DQ'd by using weapons, remove the turnbuckle pad (which you have to unlock the ability) get wins by count out. There will also be some options presented to you as your career progresses - choose the most heelish options.

Really enjoying proper matches so far. I say proper, because "real" guys are so hard to beat at the start of career, that it is an ordeal that involves me constantly dropping out of the ring and taunting and trying my best to avoid finishers until I get my own. Slowly improving though. Just won NxT title for the 3rd time, beating Sami Zayn for the first time..

Wanting to go heel so have brought in a manager, but no progress yet!

How do I unlock the NxT guys? Is it only after I complete career mode?

And when will my guy start to "feel" like a normal wrestler. Am at 65 overall now and on Superstars, does that seem ok?

Depends what attribute you build first. I beefed up stamina + stam recovery + momentum a bit and then went all offense. I have now maxed out everything (but you can increase the cap) and rated 96 overall. Took some time though and I still have challenging matches.

Saw some pretty sweet New Day edits someone posted. Just so I'm clear...you can't download other peoples' edits, right? Only CAWs, logos, etc. Thought I read that somewhere. So to make the New Day for instance you'd need to download the logo and make the new attires yourself?

Will hope there are some attire guides out there if that's the case. I've always been atrocious at making my own attires and such.</font>

Won the Elimination Chamber match to win the World Heavyweight title and immediately lost it in my first title defence. Got promoted to Raw and then lost my title rematch. Soon after I went into a two month feud with The Wyatt Family and have the big ppv match against Bray in a steel cage.

I was hoping you could download CAWs of the updated attires and then copy them over, but nope, no such luck.

Actually you can download other people's edits. They save as a separate CAW, but if you go into personal information, you can set the CAW as an alternate attire.

Not really good enough this career mode, is it? Am now at 97, and on Smackdown and just have warm up match after warm up match, occasionally with a two week build to a meaningless PPV match.

Honestly about 50 warm up matches since I started. Probably more like 70 tbh.

Angles are way to short and insignificant. Has potential, but was obviously rushed out on this occasion

Had the defend the title option forever then Vikki says I'm not defending it enough so I'm now going to defend it in the next 4 matches. Won the big gold belt and back to filler matches.

Still haven't captured either belt. I was put into a 4 way with Cena, Bryan and Orton and was ripped off by Bryan. Cena hit the AA on Orton and as I went to break the pin, Bryan hit a back suplex, preventing both of us from breaking up the pin. That ended my chance for Mania.

I did get to pick the Rumble for one of my PPV's this next year though. Hoping to win it and go on to Mania. Still on Smackdown! trying to move up to RAW.

Well, apparently if this game has taught me anything it's that my reading comprehension sucks....kept wondering why I wasn't doing the Plancha OMG moment in a Who Got NXT match and finally read the hint screen long enough to realize the opponent needs to be against the ropes, not in or on top of the turnbuckle.
