Just saw a thread in the test forum with the new epic mounts screenshots... Jesus titty fuckin' christ they look sweet.

Though, they're fucking up mages.. Two nerfs. Cone of Cold, and Frost Nova... fucking gayyyyy.

Addining diminishing returns to the slow/immobilize effects against PvP targets.

They effects are reduced by like 25% each time, and on the 4th time within a certain period of time, the target becomes completely immune until the timer is off. Completely fucked me over, since I'm a frost/arcane mage.. CoC and Frost Nova have everything to do with my tactics in PvP, especially against any melee... Though, I guess I'm thankful I still have nice arcane spells that can't be disrupted by damage =D

Probably gonna do more with my main character once I get expert tailoring/level 20 on my priest. :o

Damn I have had problems downloading every patch except the one that came out today.

I downloaded it in like 30 seconds, where as all the other ones it took hours and hours. Most of the time it does that could not connect to tracker bs for hours, but today it didnt do it. I HAVE BEEN BLESSED.

OK, does anyone know any info on transferring CD keys from Europe to America? I've requested that mine be transferred to the US servers, since I can access them with my European version of the game, it's just that my account and cd-key are on the euro database.

So basically I am probably gonna need to buy another CD key, and make another account with fake billing details and US time cards, if I wanna play the US servers I think.

Either way, i'm gonna quit my European account if they won't transfer my cd-key :)

Haha yeah, that sucks. The one druid in our guild needs both WH drops from LBRS (shoulder and boots). Every time I 5man it with him neither drop. Three times in a row I've done LBRS without him and both pieces dropped on every run. Fucking terrible.

LBRS can lick my balls. Once I get Robe of Archmage pattern, Skyshroud Leggings ( :drool: ), and maybe Trindle, I'm done with it.

Warriors do own incredible amounts in PVP, and rightfully so, they are warriors, masters of weapons. PVP was what they were supposed to be good at.

Back on to the topic at hand, I could gaurantee that I would own you in a duel mage lover. My insignia combined with vanished breaking root, and your diminishing effects on both things makes you easy targets now. If I wanted to, I could pop an greater elixir, then just run around you and make it even easier. Id imagine your deep seeded hatred from rogues stems from being owned by rogues in early levels and/or being camped by one for hours one night.

If you care to duel, I will load my main to a test server and meet you anytime, anyplace. Put this bs to rest.

Not really. I frequently get jumped by rogues while farming, only to just blink + AP'd PoM pyro + fireblast + CoC, then nova if they sprint, and another couple instacasts... rogues are kinda cake to be honest :(

When you're PvP'in w/Warlocks you have to be nearly perfect to win. Its pretty hard sometimes. I don't think there is such a thing as a lucky break. Also, if you don't get the jump on someone it is mighty hard.

The thing about warlocks is having a lot of shards at your disposle.

Best thing to use for a warlock in pvp with melee (this does not imply to most gank situations) is your voidwalker. Promply DOT the person you are after, and sacrifice your voidwalker. Pump out searing fires, not shadow bolts. Searing fires take less mana, and cast faster. With the right talent spec, you can get a pretty high crit chance on searing bolt, getting up to doing 800 dmg in 1.5 seconds, which is a pretty damn good spam. Start to fear only after your shield wears off. This strat works for all melee most of the time. Never rely on fear to win a battle, just use it whenever you need to use it.

For casters, have your felhound out. Felhound is probably your best pet in the whole game. It can remove disease/curse/magic, but not poison. This helps for priests/warlocks very well. Combined with spell-lock for a 10 second silence (once you get the maximum level skill) with a 20 second cooldown, it really helps out with casters. With priests, make sure to pop your shadow ward right off. All priests that pvp are shadow, because thats the only way to pvp. The ward gets up to absorbing a large amount of shadow dmg in the long run. Mages and warlocks are always fun to watch. In this situation it really just comes down to the better pvp. Mage root doesnt really help, and polymorph can be cured with your felhound. It sorta just comes down to blasting each other until someone dies. In my pvp server, their is this one warlock that is ranked 3 in his standing for the whole server, he is badass. First is this warrior who is just a godlike dmg machine, and the second is this mage that I could swear never sleeps.

We have a warrior on deathwing, don't know his rank, but I have yet to see him lose a duel. And he's dueled evrey class, full Battlegear of Valor + AR, he's insane. Tho, I can't speak for Shamans, since alliance don't have them. Me tho, I suck at pvp unless i'm fighting rogues lol.


Got the first peice for my Valor armor set. Now to get the rest, and either Destiny or AR, and get to lvl58 :P Also, i've come to hate the Night Elf's shadowmeld shit..Can't charge when they do that shit :mad:

At the moment i'm specced in Demonology, with the +15% stamina -5% spirit thing, improved imp/void/seksibus, improved health funnel, fel domination and master summoner/master conjuror maxed, just staring on suppression, I have like 4/5 on it now.

Being an alchemist too, I could (in theory) just curse of exhaustion anyone who is ganking me and then hook up a swiftness pot to get away :o

I wouldn't do Demonology just based on the fact that the damage to be done isn't in there. Definitely respec to strengthen your DoT, thats what the Lock is all about.

Nah stick with your luck, they'll get some love eventually. Every class is cyclicle; for a while Warriors were insanely gimped, but they're coming around now. Hunters and warlocks have always been near the bottom of the tree, but that will change.

Sucks because 1.5 got some of the best warlock love in it then any other patch. Shadow Mastery actually works with all of your skills now. Drain mana is considered shadow dmg now. If you have the talent spec where your mana drain did dmg, now it wont be gimped like it was. Siphon life got a large boost to its dmg and is now instant cast. Thats 3 instant cast dots you can put on people now. Shards in pvp now, and the wand auto shoot (which imo, is amazing), speed increase for pets....warlocks should be happy for a while. I went and played my 44 warlock as soon as I finished dowloading the patch and I was happy with the changes.

I tried out the Alterac Valley BG and it seemed cool I guess. Reminded me too much of the TM/SS bullshit so I didn't like it. I desperately wanna try out the CTF though. That actually looks hella fun. 10v10 means it won't be a laggy zergest either.

i got my priest up to 19 in the past 3 days.

I kinda think our guild is worthless without you guys on (RBM, RDD).

Don't know how they expect to fill voids in their lineup for the high end stuff when half of them would rather sit in IronForge crying about drops and AH prices than help some of the up and coming guys.

One of our new Warriors was in Barrens yesterday, litterally begging on guild chat for someone to just come watch his back so he could finish his lvl 24 quest as he'd been ganked about 20 times. There were like 10 of our guys doing nothing, that couldn't even send him a reply. They just ignored him and kept crying about some armor set they needed.

Hopefully as we get more guys from here to join up I'll be high enough to give them a hand and you guys won't be the only ones having to take time out to power level.

Ant, i don't know if you already ordered US WoW or not, but you might wanna just subscribe to fileplanet instead. They keep the Euro and US downloads on their server and you don't have to wait the 6 hours patches usually take.

Bah, right now it's half our guild already being lvl 60 for a while and sort've waiting for the other half to catch up so we can do some bigger things. I think people are getting impatient and frustrated but if everyone sticks it out it's gonna be cool. God, if everyone that left the server/guild had actually stayed over the course of the past 6 months, we'd be doing Ony/MC with purely just our guild.

Still a strong group. I throw out my help whenever I can without completely sacrificing my own character's gains. Yeah, I'd like to see more people helping out. I'll try to rile people up with runs and helping shifts or something. If everyone gave some time to help others, we'd be progressing alot more rapidly and be getting properly geared to do the raid stuff.

So we finally got like, a decent MC group. People have levelled, we have priests and warriors adn stuff. Took down Lucifron the other night, going for Magmadar again next Monday. We thought about going again tomorrow but figured it would be more logical to at least have a 2nd tranq shot for him. Hot ish.

I took my characters over to Chaotic Soldiers. Nothing against you guys. Just that they are more focused on the building aspect, where they have lots of up and comming people leveling and are power leveling. Seemed Solis was already focused on the gearing up part of the game, running the easier 55-60 dungeons. They talked a good game about powerleveling if someone would start a priest but no one delivered. Its not that I mind that much, but I JUST had spent all that time leveling my rogue and was trying to do them a favor.

The 3 of you I know weren't on for a good while so I didn't see much reason to stay put. Trying to catch up with Ant for now so me and him can run together again.

Nah it's cool, a lot of SR are guys from a lot of different origins, so it's expected to feel overwhelmed by everyone and not really get along. Like 1/3 our guild is the original Presence members, 1/4 or so is the guild Under the Sun we merged with, and the rest are people's rl friends and others we picked up along the way. Naturally, Bacon and Whatcha are fucktarded regardless.

I started a Paladin alt too that I've been playing with my friend. Kinda digging it, I got bored of my warrior. Seems so.. meh. As bizarre as this sounds, I'm finding paladin a lot more fun than warrior to play.

I'm doing grind leveling in Badlands. Getting ran through Uldaman tonite as I can get most of the quests now. Also gonna pick up the SM quests. Hit 35 last night and am about half way through to 36. Badlands is kinda nice spot. Only see Horde every 30 minutes or so and most of the time they are riding to do Uldaman and don't wanna waste time unmounting to mess with you. Averaging about 16000xp/hr
Got private rank challenging every shaman i see in STV to get a strategy down. So far I only win fighting dirty. Sheilding and running around with renew on, get a few mobs and fade them to him. Or fear them into some tigers. Frost shock + Wind Fury strikes pretty much leave me just enough time to flash heal and have to burn my fear too soon in a 1v1. After i got 3/3 in improved shield tho, I've been able to survive long enough for them to start running out of mana, and can Mana Burn for a close victory.

I'm not sure, I d/led the Nurfed UI when 1.5 came out and it's worked fine.


Most of my UI stuff is generally useless uot of raid. CT_raidassist on the right is mainly used for healers, but it's nice to see when people need a decurse and when a group's warrior/priest is down, etc. So it's good for anyone in MC (or pvp or w/e) to have it. On the left is damagemeters... I normally have it only show 5 or 10 people, but for shits and giggles I put it to 40 people to see who was pwning Cairne the most.

Got Grimloks Vestaments. Kinda like spirit more than people give it credit for.

Yeah most people neglect spirit until endgame when you have to rely on mana regen for longer instances like MC and stuff. For PvP though you're still better off going with stam/int.

So pissed off with UIs right now.

Fixed the unit frames, it was because I had the maplibrary thing disabled, so it all works now. But now my titan bar has decided to be gay, and the clock is over on the left of it and i cant get to any of the other things to edit the options on them now, its as if the clock is the only thing there.

Also the nurfed button is like still at the bottom of my minimap, whereas it should be where yours is in that screenshot, and I dunno how to get it back there, its in the way of my atlas mod button :@

Havent posted an update in a long while.

In a guild called SMACK on azgalor. We do MC on Thursday and Saturday. We usually run Lucifron->Sulfuron on saturday, then Domo and try Rag on thursday's.

We have been trying Ragnaros for about a month now and wow, he is soo fucking hard. We are all still gathering FR gear, you need over 250 if you want to live more then 20 seconds in the fight. We should be downing him regularly in about 1 more month. The whole fight takes about 7 minutes, which is amazing compared to how long Garr or Golemagg can take.

Picked me up a Gutgore Ripper and I have a Brutality Blade for my offhand. Have 3 pieces of Nightslayer so far, Bracers, belt, gloves. Purples are fun. I am going to post some screenshots that I have taken when I get the chance.

There are quests and whatnot, but you don't have to do them if you don't want, you can just walk around towns and stuff?
Plus there's a ton of other people playing with you. So you can randomly ask someone if they want to go kill some monsters or whatever? Or are there certain rules to teaming up with people? Or say, if you're alone and end up being outnumbered and one of your friends you know is online playing (of which I have none that play this but anyway), but they are a far distance from you, can you contact them and ask them to come help you out?

Everything you just mentioned is correct. You can cruise about in the gaming world including towns and interact with other players.
Yes, you can ask some one if they want to join you on a quest.
Yes, you have kind of buddy list thing that will let you know when your guild mates and friends are on and playing.
Yes, you can talk to your friends even if they are in another city or another continent.
Don't let the thing about the races or classes confuse you its pretty easy once you look at it. It's just that each race as its own unique abilities such as Humans are better at using swords and maces and Undead can hold their breath underwater longer since they're undead.
The classes is pretty much the same just on a larger scale. Your class (Warrior, Paladin, Mage, etc.) dictates your abilities. I hope I answered some of your questions and if you have any others just ask.

Yeah, there is a whole world in the game similar to Fable, and you can choose to be on the Alliance ("Good guys" - Humans, Night Elfs, Gnomes, Dwarfs) or on the Horde (Bad guys - Orcs, Trolls, Taurens, Undead) and there are lots of towns designated for either side, or contested areas where you can fight with the opposite side (should you choose to play on a PVP server, anyway.) You can do quests, or just kill random monsters to level up.

Plus there's a ton of other people playing with you. So you can randomly ask someone if they want to go kill some monsters or whatever? Or are there certain rules to teaming up with people? Or say, if you're alone and end up being outnumbered and one of your friends you know is online playing (of which I have none that play this but anyway), but they are a far distance from you, can you contact them and ask them to come help you out?

Yeah each server (there are like 50 total) has thousands of people playing on it throughout the day, so there are lots of people to talk to and to play with. If you team with people they should be close to your level, or you won't get very good experience. If you want to contact someone, you just have to /whisper them and you can talk no matter where you are in the game, as long as you are on the same server as each other.

The way you all talk about it makes it sound real fun but I dunno. Sounds confusing to me, with all the different species and characters.

Well I'll give a short breakdown of the classes themselves for ya

Warrior: Usually a tank (keeps the enemies attacking him so they don't attack the weaker party members.)

Mage: Does a ton of damage through magic casting, but has very low health and attack power with weapons.

Priest: Complete healer (unless you choose to be a Shadow-specialized Priest,) can revive fallen party members and heal for lots of points.

Hunter: Really good with ranged weapons (Bows, Guns) and can tame a pet from almost anywhere in the world to fight with them and help out in battle.

Paladin (Alliance side only): Lots of armor and good heals. Can give extra armor and revive team mates.

Druid: A balance of some sorts.. can shapeshift into different animal forms. It's essentially three classes in one. It's bear form lets it act like a warrior, it's cat form lets it act like a Rogue, and it's normal form lets it act like a priest/mage sort of.

Rogue: Can go stealth and do lots of damage with weapons, but generally not a lot of health and armor.

Shaman (Horde side only): Awesome balanced class (although most think it's overpowered.) It can heal, revive people, do lots of damage through casting spells, and does a lot of damage with their weapon. Also can drop spirit totems that help your party by doing many things, including hurting the nearby enemies, healing you, making you stronger, etc.

Warlock: Casts curses on enemies to hurt them over time, and can summon demons to help in battle (similar to Hunters, but you can't tame random animals.) Also can use soulstones to revive a team-mate.

Hope this clears some stuff up for you.. It's a really fun game.

OK so since mycheap ass has failed at finding the issue of PC Gamer with the free trial, I'm leaning towards just paying the monthly fee, which is what has turned me off of all MMORPG's mainly. However, I hear this is so time consuming ( I guess that's good since I won't spend money on so many other things aka DVDs, and bad for obvious reasons) that it's worth the fee, and it isn't really paying for the same game since there are always changes and updates etc.

I noticed Amazon has a 60day pre-paid card for $23 or so. Would it be worth getting that before giving out my CC number for the monthly fee? Or is it some rip-off thing?

You can get the pre-paid card if you want. When you register an account, you have to put in a CC number, but you don't get charged at all for the first month, so if you decide you don't want to play, you can cancel it without getting charged any subscription fees.

Check this out, it's pretty cool. I don't know if you guys have already seen it, but it lets you look at basically all the models used the game, in full 3d. You can even deck any race out with every armor set and weapon in the game. It's really cool.

LOL so after spending almost 100g on 35 black dragonscales, 25 dark iron ores, 6 large brilliant shards and 10 elixirs of shadow power I now have to buy 3 arcane crystals to make them into arcanite bars, spend 150g on some stardust that I have to go all the way to the end of Jaedenar for (although a potion lets me walk through unscathed)

THEN I have to buy the 3 items that the guy makes for a total of 200g, not to mention these 3 items are what I had to get the first 4 reagents for (that I spent nearly 100g on) before modifying the stardust in the alchemy lab in scholo (5 man), and finally going to DM west (again 5 man) to do some crazy ass quest ending in killing two 61 elite bosses while using 15 soul shards to keep the reagents working on channeling or whatever.

Then I get my Dreadsteed. :)
