After getting blistered by Dirk Nowitzki on Thursday -- just like they were blistered by Dwyane Wade and Devin Harris in previous losses -- Phoenix checks in this morning at a disheartening 23rd in defensive efficiency -- which is worse than they ever were under Mike D'Antoni. In other words, they've gone from having an all-time great offense and a middling defense to having a pretty good offense and a pretty bad defense. I'm not sure how that's supposed to translate into their stated goal of winning more in the playoffs.
