THQ's reasoning was since a lot of customers were willing to pay $10 for EA's passes, they figured $10 was the new sweet spot.

Might actually skip out on the game because of this.

I always planned on getting it new, but this shit doesn't sit well with me at all.

Um, if you buy it new it doesn't concern you?

Also, I don't blame videogame companies for doing this. They lose a lot of money from the used game market every year. And it's not like they are being really evil about it. It's 10 fucking bucks. If they were being douchebags, they would charge like 30, or not even allow online access at all.

Fucking everyone is blowing this matter way out of proportion.

They're already upping it. What will you say if they up it to $20? Then $30? By then you'll have just accepted it.

It's not like they don't plaster the game with streamed-in ads already. And that's only going to get worse. I had a problem with that when it first started happening in games, too, and was one of the major reasons why I dropped my TiVo service.

Does it affect me if I buy new? No, it doesn't. But I'm not going to support a game that does this on the off chance I want to buy something used and not get dicked out of online.

Will one person skipping out on the game do something? Absolutely not. But I won't support a game that does something that I don't support.
