Also, Jericho is supposed to be someone who can get a great match out of anyone. Why would his bouts with JBL be any different?

Actually, I don't look at Jericho through love goggles. You look at me through convenience goggles. I see things however it suits me to see them for the sake of your argument.
Jericho has done nothing offensive since showing up. The booking of him has been questionable, but I've never agreed with the whole "Jericho is lazy" "Jericho can't talk anymore" "Jericho is sloppy" mindsets. I think people expected too much from Jericho, and they're holding him up to an unfair standard. Since returning, Jericho has easily been one of the more entertaining aspects of RAW. Probably the most entertaining consistently each week.
Also, who says Jericho is supposed to be someone who can get a great match out of anyone? Your mental version of me? Someone else? Jericho can get great matches out of most people, but Chris Benoit couldn't get a "great" match out of JBL, Eddie Guerrero wasn't able to get a "great" match out of JBL, and Shawn Michaels probably wouldn't be able to get a "great" match out of JBL. From what I read, Jericho's bouts with JBL were as good as they could be for what they were, i.e. throwaway brawls.
