STD, just curious, but you do know how this works right? Supreme isn't just randomly creating these matches based on trying to screw one guy over at the end. He creates these match ups based on who hasn't been used in so many rounds. In this particular case, since it's a HOF round, Supreme took the biggest available name he had or could think of and matched him against Punk. Again the way it goes is, Newcomer vs Jobber, Newcomer vs Lower Midcarder, Newcomer vs Midcarder, Newcomer vs Main Eventer, and then the HOF round is Newcomer vs Legend. Would you rather a HOF round be between Punk/Piper or Punk/Kid Kash?

Defeated DDP to take control of the polls. Beat Terry Funk Beat Kane Beat Rob Van Dam. Facing Piper. Please enlighten me on which one of those is a newcomer or a mid-carder. Unless you mean Punk was the newcomer because he was new to the polls. Though none of these men are mid-carders and I don't think anybody would ever make the mistake to call them that. I'm pretty sure all of those people are either Legend Status or Main Event status. |

Also, once a wrestler is used in a poll, he can't be re-used for....what is it, 30 rounds or something? |

Because they are both similar in terms of promo style and FTW attitude. I don't think it was a random choice. Is there something that says the Hall of Fame Round has to be against somebody with a similar attitude or wrestling style?

This is correct I believe. 30 rounds or so. I think the only exception was Owen Hart and that was because of a tie or something?
