Sad part is his only win was against Taker in a screwjob angle they should put him back to the midcard for a while and have him pwn each and everyone of them starting with I dunno... maybe Kofi?

I feel the same way about Punk now as I did about Jericho. I hate seeing them lose constantly but it really didn't take away from their characters on TV.

Punk doesn't need to be rebuilt up, though. He's always strong. Just because someone's losing, even with a losing streak, doesn't mean it's a bad thing as long as they're still as over as ever, which Punk is.

Having Punk run through the mid card doesn't help anyone. It hurts the talents he goes over and hurts him by stepping out of the upper card.

If it werent for this thread I wouldn't of noticed the record tbh, so I don't think Punk is in such a bad spot r/n. Could of probably done with a win here or there (Big Show feud) but it hasnt really harmed him.

Out of all the guys on the roster, having a losing streak like that doesn't affect Punk at all. He could still job it up, but people will still respect him and I don't think it takes away or makes his character look weak.

Punk is probably one of the top dogs in the company - to whom wins & losses don't matter. Will probably become this era's Jericho in that sense. Or HBK, HHH, Undertaker, Randy Orton, John Cena, Kane, Big Show... the win/loss doesn't matter anymore.

As seen on Monday Night Raw tonight, CM Punk announced that he will be leaving WWE after his contract expires on July 17th, which is the day of the Money in the Bank PPV.

After speaking with several sources, WZ can confirm that as of this writing, Punk does indeed plan to leave the company following the PPV, and he has not signed a new deal with WWE.

This does NOT mean, however, that it's guaranteed Punk will actually leave following the PPV, as anything can change between now and then, and has in the past.

Two years ago, when Jeff Hardy was finishing his last run with WWE, he had informed management on a number of occasions that he would be leaving the company on a certain date. But because he was such a hot commodity in WWE at the time, officials did their best to accommodate Hardy, and were able to re-sign him to contract extensions that saw him remain with the company for several months after he had initially intended to leave.

In the case of CM Punk, it could play out that the current angle between him and John Cena draws better than expected, which could lead WWE brass to step up and offer Punk a bigger money deal to remain with the company. It's no coincidence that Punk has been putting a tremendous amount of effort into his work recently, in what I would guess is an attempt to prove his ultimate worth in WWE.

Couple of months later, when Punk comes back with the WWE Title he never lost, unification match. And an end to the spinner.

Yeah, it really could go either way. He could have re-signed and just be taking a few months/a year off, he could stay on a few more months for a title run, or it really could be he's leaving and he just jobs on the way out. I really do think if he "leaves" with the title it opens up A LOT of oppurtunity.

Punk wrote a very similar blog when he was heading into his final announced ROH appearance, a bout where he was scheduled to challenge then-ROH champion Austin Aries. Some of the verbiage is actually the same. In that bout, Punk won the title and began a farewell speech, but then turned heel in the process and "took the belt hostage" for the summer, teasing he was going to deliver the belt to Vince McMahon. He would leave ROH several months later after losing the belt to James Gibson.

When Punk made his one return ROH appearance during a blizzard, by the way, he closed out that show by inviting the crowd out into the snow...to make snow angels.

Probably trying to pull a Jericho and leave with an excellent career, but end up coming back to go on an even greater run. I'm sure he has some outside interests that he would like to pursue now that he can afford them.

I HIGHLY doubt CM Punk would join TNA... if he is gonna wrestle, I'd think he would go help out ROH in their new TV season, otherwise maybe he will just take time off.
